Does daily = 4x100?
If so, you know what must be done.

Lol it does. I'm currently eyeing a set of mkIII's rupe has laying around. If not I will cheap out and probably just widen the stock 13"s to something nicer and paint them black. I've been tempted to test fit the works for a laugh but the car is at my brothers after a meth head stole a car and destroyed his.

Hahaha that crossed my mind the other day when a range rover passed me. Do they even make those in 4x100?

Re: Josh's Na6
Ok!!! Another quick update *more for my benefit as a personal note and reference*
Oil pressure sender, tps, new extractors, muffler, roll bar, intercooler etc... Acquired!!! So yeah, I guess we are good to go
Unfortunately nothing will be here before Christmas, so I guess between now and then I can ditch my cracked exhaust manifold and bolt on my new engine back setup plus cat. Also fit in a wheel alignment and bolt some of my bracing on
Oh and my bucket seat.
Woooooooooooop! Pics incoming. Hopefully I've not lost any of these boxes of parts I've got laying around the house. I've managed to spread them accross 4 rooms and the garage
Sooooo I'm a little worried. Take some pics tomorrow.

Re: Josh's Na6
So progress is starting to happen.
Car now has frame rails attached as well as my new FGK Legalis-R cat back and a set of 4-2-1 no name extractors I had cut up and modified into a set of awesome flowing ones with clean welds
(it helps having a talented mechanic brother who is good at fabrication). Car runs better than ever.
We ran a compression Test today (well, Jace did) and my baby is ready for boost. Ecu in hopefully next week and then all my other crap. it's all arrived!
In other news, I scored an awesome bucket from YAJ 'real low cheap'

It's a 'Naniwaya EZ-type' which from what I gather is an unbranded Bride Vios bucket distributed by the Osaka based store Naniwaya who are owned by Bride Showroom I think, which is owned by Bride. In any case, it's made very well and fits perfect. That's all that matters
Plus I got me some new eyes

Probably one of the easiest things ever to put in. 15mins work taking my time and it was done. Pain in the ass to align but so are all pop up headlamps. I'm not sold on the Narva bulbs (by that I mean they're crap). But the build quality of these is pretty amazing when you consider it was only $400AUD!!!!!
In other news I had a fantastic time on Ocean Road with the new frame rails. Holy crap they make a difference. I honestly thought it would be superficial but bought them more for protection as I scrape and bash mine a lot. So yeah, impressed.

Not the greatest photo's I know, but meh.

Re: Josh's Na6
So todays efforts

Was fun and easy. Definitely recommend doing a retrim job. I did a hack and slash quick one and it came out pretty satisfying. Originally I was going to to buy black but spotlight had to order more in so I decided to just run with the red and see what happened. I looked online and every pic looked abysmal, red on red car yuck. However I figured why not give it a stab and see what happens.
It just so happened (luckily) that the red I used on the cards was a completely different one that the paint on the car, so it doesn't look like I've tried to colour match (thank god). Unfortunately my phone camera can't capture the colour or texture very well. In person, it's a a lot darker than the classic red, not quite maroon but borders on it. It's also not shiny like the photo's lead you to believe, the camera flash seems to pick up the light reflecting off the material.
Any way, I'm satisfied with the results.

Re: Josh's Na6
Well the mx5 now runs. Albeit like crap but it's a start. It's running on megasquirt normally aspirated using MAP at the moment. Will bolt the supercharger on tomorrow with pulley off and start getting things together. I'm in the tuning phase at the moment, it's going ok but sadly the freakin alternator has gone on me so it's a jump start every time I want to have a crack at it.
Did a few trades and wound up with a red hard top again, new flares on and put my old side skirts back on.

I'm happy with how the car looks, but I'd like to raise it to a more functional height, plus it's too low in the rear. Now that the car is registered again, I'll be chucking the bumper on it and hopefully taking it for a few short drives around the street tuning and working out problems before I chuck the blower on. Super excited with how it's progressing now. It's been slow but it's good to get back into it again.
Main reason I've been taking my time is because I've owned the car for quite a few years now and needed to take a break from it. Time to forget about modifying it, wanting this and that for it, constantly fiddling and trying to fix this or that. Having my Honda has been amazing, I've not had a daily before so driving to the shops and back and treating my car like any other person has been a much needed change.
Plan for after I get the mx5 on the road again and tuned with the super charger is to just leave it as is for the next 6 months and drive. I want to step away from modding the car and just enjoy it for what it is; a toy. It's been so long since I just got in and drove the hell out of it for fun without looking for things to change or finding stuff I'm not happy with. I want to keep it strictly mechanical for a while and if after 6 months I want to do something more with it, I'll take it from there. Plus it means save some cash haha.
Will be a few exterior mods in the mean time, but it's just stuff I have laying around my room and the garage I've not got around to installing yet. Will be good to see them finally on/in the car.
