I got the cage in this weekend.
It looks a lot better now there is something else pink apart from the wheels.
Haven't fitted the door bars yet as I want to sort out the leather interior first.

Just gets better and better, black and pink custom plates and offset bracket would set it off.

yeah definitely ditch the numberplate plinth for a slim offset bracket, pink plates would look so cool aswell.

I recon you should redrill that licence plate a bit further down to it fits the bumper, did the same on my dakdak.

Entered in Trevation this year?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Can I convince you to get some pink sideview mirrors too?

IMO, the chrome sideviews no longer "fit" now that the chrome-edged rims are gone and it would tie in nicely with the rims and rollbar.

I have been meaning to move the number plate. I just don't have the tools at home to do it & I'm limited to only be able to do it at work when the guys are here & I can use their tools.

I haven't been to Motorvation since I had my old GC8, which was about 4 years ago. Does anyone go/is it worthwhile now?
Was thinking about heading down to cars & coffee on Sunday though.

I was thinking about making the mirrors black, I honestly hadn't thought of going pink with them.
Might be something to put on the cards though. :)
The chrome does look incredibly out of place.

A little impulse buy this week.
Bought the MX5 a Sparco sprint junior race seat.

Fitting wasn't that bad. Apart from all the manky stuff I found under the seat!
Two holes matched up fine, the other 2 I had to drill into the standard rail to bolt it to the seat.
I did struggle with where to put the seat belt buckle, but have made it work for now, but will most likely make a bracket instead of using the one mounting point in the centre tunnel.

The seat sits lower than standard so it makes the car feel like a cart. I love driving it.
Getting in & out though has become an interesting challenge. :)

Getting in and out isn't that bad once you get used to it and figure out a technique. I use a fixed back seat every day and absolutely love it.

The sparco looks nice, my shoulders are too wide, otherwise i wouldve got one.
Just installed a Kirkey drag seat and it has been mounted pretty far back and is still a pain in the ass to get in/out (being 6' 2"), especially since its my daily.

I finally got my hard top. Was really straight forward to fit & even came with bolts to fit it up.
Unfortunately my 'friends' who helped me take it out of the box thought leaning it on it's side would be a smart idea. So it will need to get fixed at some point.

I also finally stripped out my interior carpet after my battery decided to have a massive collapse last week.
She died midway through driving & I had no power at all. (Rather frightening at night in a black car with no lights!)
Luckily just a battery, removed the immobiliser & fitted a new one since it fried the wiring, along with the CD player as well.
But whilst it was all apart I thought I would get around to taking the carpet out.
Surprisingly, I don't find it much louder.
Bolted in the door bars for the cage as well. So she is starting to come along nicely.

Got my first rolling shot in the MX. Finally got my side number plate mount on too.

Got my eyes out at a cruise on Sunday night. :P

I've picked up a quick release steering wheel hub.
Soooo much easier to get out now.

Also, love the looks I get walking around with a steering wheel. Hahaha
