Driving it pretty hard 8) well done with the laptimes.
I gather the NB is turbo by the way it was pulling away.

Yes, there where a few turbo ones there on the day. They have about 3 times the power, but it only helps in 3 places. The straight in particular. I did over drive it a bit, but the track was just coming good, and i was out on the r secs for the first time on the day. And if you go off line like i did when i tried passing him, it gets very slippery. I am not liking my chances of being competitive at the next round - Sandown, the drag track.

Brendan also put up a video of my best lap - 1:11 on old starspecs if anyone is interestedThere is a bit of footage of one of the boaks cars. Those cars would be a handfull around the short track. There would be half the track where you are not using full power, especially in a modified car like there's.

The exhaust is getting done, still have to weld it and do the divorced pipe. I have welded the hangers on, and done the cut out on the c.f, and the metal that needed removing to allow the exhaust to exit in front of the rear wheel. I cut a 45* bend straight off to at 90* to give it a tear drop look.

I will get some pics of it when i pull it out to fully weld it.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. Can't wait to see what it can do on the track.

No under tray yet. I want to get the car running before I worry about doing the other things. So when the exhaust is done I will be able to get it dynoed. Still not getting enough sleep to have the energy to get more work done on the car. My brother was looking at the natsoft results and pointed out that I did 3 laps in a row on the weekend within 100th of a second of each other, that's consistent enough for me.

The exhaust is done now. Should have most things now to get onto the engine dyno.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Been busy making carbon fibre doors. I have almost finished making 2 sets, then i have to make 1 more pair of inners for my car, and then i have to make a pair of NA doors.
The outer door shell weighs 0.933kg's, and the inner door shell weighs 0.793kg's. I weighed the boot i made, and with the corecell frame it comes in at 1.289kg's.
Also making a couple of NB bonnets. This one is up to the peel ply layer.

I have finished the order, and have all 4 doors and both bonnets in my ute ready to take down for packaging. The doors weigh 1.8kg's finished. And the bonnets weigh 2.8kg's finished. So both doors and the bonnet weigh less than an oem alloy bonnet.
I also recieved my new enginemounts today.

Those engine mounts are awesome. I have a set fitted in my SP, the low rev vibrations are increased but the shifting has increased 100%. Cannot miss a gear now :D

You actually get used to the vibrations, they will soften after about 500kms.
