So after all these lovely rains we've been having recently, I popped the boot open to find an inch of water in all three rear compartments. Yay!

At a guess, it's the drain holes that are probably clogged. Didn't notice any water in the cabin.

Also found this in the boot:

Which is attached behind the battery to the side wall in this location:

Any ideas on what it may be? The inside of the hose looks way to thin to move water, and I'm thinking it may be a breather hose of some kind.

Vent pipe for the nipple on the battery.

Well, I can't see water getting in from anywhere else except the drainage holes. The rest of the seals look good. Could I be missing something?

Also, my list of parts for the gearbox refresher is getting bigger.

Already have in ma hands:

Redline MT-90
Pearl Voodoo Knob

Payed for and waiting on arrival:

IL Motorsport Short Shifter Kit

Upper Boot
Small plastic cup thingy

So that's all the parts I wanted. As you may know, I changed the gearbox and diff oil 1500km's ago. Just to clean it up a bit for the redline. But can anyone recommend a good hand pump to get the oil in? I can still taste the oil from the last change. The SCA 500ml giant syringe for $20 broke after one use. Heap of junk.

SCA also stock the 1L hand pumps (Tom thumb brand I think) and they are like $15.
Simple and effective..

Thanks for that. I got one, and it was great. Well built and will last a life time.

Also, last Tuesday I did the switch and installed the IL Motorsport shifter kit with the Voodoo Knob. It's so short I can't even figure what gear is what, it's so close.

I put the stock shifter back on and it made the car drivable...

BUT

It's so bloody hard to shift between gears. No easy "snick, snick" like some people have mentioned. I followed the instructions to a tee. I have ordered a 1" shifter extension, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this, and maybe I missed something. The instructions weren't easy to decipher, even the English version they sent.

So some small updates:

- The shifter kit has loosened up a bit, and the 1" extender from Jass Performance has helped no end. Still not the cleanest of shifts though, so any ideas there might help.

- Did an oil change on the damn thing. Now my arm makes me look like some emo slasher from trying to take the filter out. Put some good ol' magnatec in, and she's running smoother.

-Looked into why the over head light wouldn't light up with the doors open, thought it'd be like on my old NA with some dirty terminals. As it turns out, they're not even connected, so, that'll be fun.

- Pulled the brain for the alarm out. Central locking works better now...

Early RX is a better guess, looks like RX-2 caps.

Currently doing a bit of work to the car, will throw some pics up later when I'm all done.

Anyways, I've yanked the tail lights out, and tha pax side doesn't even have any gaskets. The tiny little round ones.

I've had a look online and could only find some out of the States at $15 per gasket. Can we get them here? Anything else I can use? Can I purchase a similar material and make my own?

Started off by giving the girl a quick once over:

Next up, pulled the boot apart to clean and get ready for anti-rust treatment, found this, should I be worried:

Patched up another hole in the roof, yay!

Then installed these little guys, now I feel all fancy!

Fairly full day, did some other odds and ends, like clear the drain lines in the car, and hide all the bad wiring under the dash.

Went to Bunnings Motorsport and found some M5 sized fibre washes. Seemed to do the trick

Also, sorry about all the lost pics. I tidied up my photobucket account, which obviously changed all the addresses and I can edit the posts. Sorry guys.
