Re: Dirty Little Secret - Living the Roadster Life
Wow.
This thread makes me want another MX5 to enjoy roadster life - one for the open roads and one for the track.
I may have missed it - besides the SAFC what other mods? intake and exhaust and...?
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Dirty Little Secret - Living the Roadster Life
Early Morning PITS
Started to plan for the day the night before by going to sleep around 9:30ish and setting the alarm for 5am so I can be at the PITS by the nominate 6:30 meet up.
Well, I got woken up by an SMS, and panickly looked at the message knowing what just happened. Phone time - 6:50am. BUGGAH!!!! forgot to set the alarm to "ON" and not just "WEEKDAY".
Hurriedly got changed, grab the camera, and jet off to the PITS. While on the way, I kept reminding myself - YOU ARE LATE BUT DON'T MAKE IT AN EXPENSIVE LATE! ie don't get caught speeding. Touch wood, got there safely with no incidents.
Anyways, by 7:50 I arrived at PITS. Gates were still closed but found a side entrance where I found Babalouie and another friend - both just got back from a clear early morning stroll through the Old Pac.

After a few jeers and apologies, the gate finally opened so we took our places before the two wheel masses swarm the PITS.

We settled to our table with Pies and Hot Drinks in hand.
It didn't take long 'till another roadsterlife contributor Taz stroll in to join us for breakfast.

As we chatter, one by one a TVRs makes an arrival. Must be a TVR meet.

They surely got everybody's attention but the best is when a-not-so-elderly gent found the owner of the "Nissan" and complimented him for having the most unique piece of gear in the PITS that morning...more unique than the TVRs.
After a few more chatter, we head off South knowing that too many cyclist might find its way into our engines if we ventured North. Even our trip South was marred with cyclists 3 abreast in the middle of the road.
anyways, was a good morning for drive even though I didn't get to enjoy the rest of Old Pac.
