Here is my 1989 MX-5:

Mods include Sparco Sprint seat, Skunk2 shifter and fluffy dice (had to remove the dice as the power gain was too great and I was just frying tyres). Also NB8A wheels, auto (thicker) radiator, TorSen II 4.3:1 diff from a 1.8 and a custom intake.

That car is hot! NA6s look so nice with the later model wheels!
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Just so I don't forget what was done to this car, here is a bit of a list:

Jackson Racing M45 supercharger kit.
Custom "zoomzoom / MX-5 Plus" pulley tensioner setup.
Ditched AFM.
MegaSquirt PNP with GM IAT and "Map Daddy" baro correction.
Innovate LC-1 wideband O2 sensor/controller.
Jackson Racing big boost kit (10psi pulley).
TorSen II 4.3:1 rear end conversion from late model NB.
NA8 air con system fitted.
Sparco Sprint seat for driver.
Moss silicone radiator hoses.
PWR 40mm alloy radiator (this was later replaced with a radiator from an auto MX-5).
Front and rear Whiteline swaybars.
Koni shocks with King springs and NB hats.
NB8A wheels with Yokohama S-Drive tyres.
Alpine headunit with iPod thing.
'97 model stereo surround.
Skunk2 shifter (wasn't a fan, this only stayed on for a few weeks).
Benny's boots.
Custom boot light mod.
Bling headlight reflectors.

The car has since been put back to stock and sold to another forum member!

As you can see I had a modding addiction so I had to cure it somehow (above list was all done within 12 months). I now drive around in a completely stock SE and my wallet is much thicker! 8)

Yep, I'll be there. New car is great although don't let me near Derek's any time soon or I will get the modding bug again!

I only let the car go because I knew it was going to be restored properly. 8)
