Whoa! More Canberra peoples :)

You don't go to the ANU do you? I've seen a blue NB with a red interior around there a few times.

is that a brown davis bar? the rear bars of it looks like its angled differently. maybe it is the paint that is making me see things.

what is next on the mod list? :mrgreen:

No, it was always parked just behind the maths department. I'd walk past it a couple of times a week but don't see it that much anymore.

Where did you get the new stuff through? Joined the club yet?

I had one of these A60 Celicas. In the same colour too. Mine was an Australian delivered version, which meant it came with the anaemic and gutless 4cyl 2.0lt OHC engine. So after 3yrs, I swapped the car for a 1984 2.8lt 6cyl MA61 Celica Supra, which not only improved performance significantly, it was also much better looking IMO.

The only critism, the 80's fad digital dash, and 80s style velour trim.

PS. Love the photo of the 5 in the building.

hey mate in one of the interior shots in this thread I can make out what looks like an Alpine IDA-X200 head unit installed in your blue NB8B; could you post up some closer/better pics of this head unit & what it looks like in that dash??

I have the same head unit and the exact same car but haven't installed the head unit yet, want to know what it will look like.

Also do you think it'd be difficult to install the head unit in the lower DIN position with the dash pocket at the top?

thanks!

So the real estate in the dash is slightly bigger than double din (looking at the gap filled above your head unit), or is that dash pocket below just horizontally not quite single din size?

Can you see any reason why you think these two harnesses wouldn't do the job;

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ALPINE-ISO-WIRIN ... ccessories

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mazda-ISO-WIRING ... ccessories

Mazda plug < Mazda to ISO >< ISO to Alpine > Alpine head unit

thanks for the advice.
