Finally got some work done on my NA so I though I'd introduce myself and my baby.
Aim to build a balanced, lightweight, quick-spooling mountain monster that something just a little different, without bastardizing the MX5 philosophy.

Bought in early '09 as a stocker sporting a hard-top, viscous LSD (as I found out recently), oil leak, bubbling radiator and dead soft-top for $5500 she sat in my side garage for about 3 months.
$700 later and it was bliss itself. What response! What handling! What FUN!

Then, what bad luck, after fitting a JDM adjustable strut brace (AAIP) (pictures tonight), some lovely old duck in a magna decides to hit the anchors at full speed 3 metres from traffic lights when the lights went yellow. After another 2 months looking sorry for itself while I got together the money for a facial reconstruction all was well again.

I was lucky enough to come across a set of Tom's rims with 90% tread for a ridiculously low price, these were fitted with much haste.

Most recently, warped rotors causing awful feedback through the steering wheel when braking at speed, and one LSD letting go, resulting in grinding and thumping at any speed. These were replaced, probably not as soon as they should have been with NB8C parts, thanks go to Richard from MX5+ for supplying these parts with awesome service and support. The rotors were machined and Bendix pads fitted.

From here, coilovers and sway bars are the next addition, as well as fixing niggly little things here and there like a busted lock from a failed break-in attempt.

Will take and post some more pictures after a clean tonight!

C&C welcome!

Have sourced a B6T from a rolled Familia, so suspension might be being put back a bit so as to not miss out.

Ha, yeah. They're just zip-tied on at the moment but will do a more thorough job on a free saturday.

don't use the hks mushrooms... they let a lot of the grit and dirt thru. also have poor air flow.

get a 3A racing one

Basic stripping done last night up front after I had to weld two seat rail bolts >_<

This weekend dash is coming out and it'll be getting a thorough strip, clean and paint in super sneaky satin black.

Also tracking down some Hella headlamp upgrades...

Is 50/120 overkill?
