Rorge's concoction

Postby Rorge » Sat Jan 28, 2012 1:53 am

So I generally just lurk here and pickup the information i'm chasing but I thought i'd show you guys what i've been up to with my 91 NA6!

All work is done by me solely at home so it's been a fun project! (don't be scared to work on your car)
As it sits now (but not running yet as i'm still finishing things) it has: (pics to follow most likely not in order)

96 Bottom end with a decent ported head
Matched length steampipe low mount exhaust/turbo manifold
T28 BB turbo with 2.5" dump
2.5" exhaust with a hooker muffler
Frontmount with 2.5" piping
Toyota Coil-On-Plug coilpacks
Walbro 255
550cc Injectors
Microtech LT-8
52mm Alloy Radiator
E85 Ethanol Fuel
Soft cushion button ceramic clutch from Direct Clutch
Swiss cheese flywheel
Gay NA6 5 speed (but I have 3 spares for when it goes boom  )
1.8 KAAZ 2 way diff
Greddy GREX pads
KYB AGX with Kings springs
Front and rear swaybars
Mazdaspeed Roll Over Bar
Some other underbody braces I made up
15inch wheels with Federal RSR's
Carbon roof
Pair of Sparco Sprint V's
and the body has sh*t paint and 'used' appearance. I don't wash it because last time I did it took a big chunk of paint off the passenger headlight..

OK so some pictures in no apparent order..

So today I made up a new exhaust system with leftover bits from a Jasma one I had and the muffler pictured above. I'll get some pics tomorrow of it all mounted.

I also just finished figuring out the Microtech wiring and hope to have it finished and setup in the car by the end of the weekend.. From there i'll get her running and sorta tuned on 98 and get rid of any teething problems before switching it to E85 and dropping it at my dyno tuners for a fiddle!

Almost there then? Nicely done man.

Will do even better skids at the next motorkhana?

Should be a lot of fun when dun. The best thing is driving to the track and surprising a few motorists with your skid machine.

Wow I can feel the love.. Thanks Evil_Weevil! :P At least the sig is honest! :D

But yeah Lightyear (cheers for the hardtop) she should be quite proficient on the track other than the driver! ;)

Jeo, i'll see you in March for the next one. I will have a functioning handbrake this time too so it should be a pretty 'entertaining' event! :D If the power delivery is linear enough I tihnk i'll leave the semi's on for some sticky torture!

I broke my phone like 2 weeks ago and havn't been able to take any pictures..

But since then I made a fancy looking alloy heat shield and painted up the cooler piping.

Also fitted up a loom for the Microtech lt8 I had. She's ready to run but things are on hold because the douchebag who sold me the Microtech lied about what base map it had!

I'm just hunting down a new ecu now to have her running and tuned before the Motorkhana on 17th March..

Who built the manifold? And do you have more photos?

Thanks,
Dann

Pretty much all the pics are in the thread already! :/

I'm not so big on photos unfortunately!

I'm fairly sure the manifold was made by Russell from Carco down here in Canberra..??
