Rohan's NB8B.

So I've made a few threads so far asking questions etc. about various projects I've done over the last couple of months.
I'll consolidate it all here and snap some pics in what little sunshine Melbourne has to give today.

I've only really whacked a new Head Unit in and change the oil and filter over.

This morning when I was changing the oil I found that a previous owner had been less than careful while mounting the front number plate, leaving a hole the the front bar.
It's not visible unless you get down on your hands and knees, but I know it's there.
Also plenty of scratches under the front bar.

So, next project will be filling and fixing these dings. I have a weeks break from uni in a weeks time, so I'll hopefully be updating this soon.

Here's the hole the number plate left. If you felt a tremor I'm Melbourne this morning, it was probably me finding this.

And here's the other scratch that bothers me less, because it's only visible from underneath the car.

Always good to have another garage thread to follow, look forward to seeing the updates!

First mod I'd recommend is to turn the number plate holder over so it's sitting the right way up and not restricting flow into radiator.
Should look like this when fitted......

Going to get a brand new number plate bracket, and number plate too actually. Both my plate and the bracket really let the car down.
Looking at the mania offset bracket to be a bit different.
It's 60 bucks from vicroads for a new plate. Don't know why it's double the cost of the first issue fee, but it's worth it for the looks.

Was having a great time streaming my music from my phone to the new HU.
Until my phone met an astra.

Big ups to Alexpav for today's quick mod.
Number plate relocation took maybe 5mins and has made a HUGE difference to the face of my 5.

Wow, with the mesh grille and the number plate previously hanging down over the opening, I'm amazed you didn't have major overheating problems!

Looks much better now but that fog light's not much use anymore.......

Temp gauge had never been anything but rock steady. Happier now that it's not all covered though.

As for the fog light, apparently you can't use them unless there is actually fog, so I'm willing to make the trade off.

... I still prefer the number plate to be in the middle over the off-set, then again I placed it in the middle of the front bar and doesn't cover the gaping mouth

Now all you need are some clear side repeaters and reflectors 8)

The clear reflectors are available from MX5 Mania locally;
http://www.mx5mania.com.au/exterior.php

Or you could get them from MX5parts.uk who have a 15% off store wide at the moment...

Would've liked to go with Mania, but MX5-parts sale made them almost half the price.

Big thanks for all the replies Nev, helping quite a lot.
At the very least it makes me feel like I'm not talking to myself on here

Well, been getting a bit of a leak around the drivers side window yesterday.
Nothing major, a few drops. Still not happy about it.
After some reading I checked the tensioner cables, and the passenger side had snapped clean.
Ordered some more from MX5parts, a day after they shipped my clear reflectors
Wish I had gotten onto this earlier.
