Johns 1989 Eunos...

Hello - this is my first post. I have just bought a rather nice 1989 Eunos Roadster. I live in Alice Springs so there's not a lot of places to drive, but my intention is to use the car as my daily drive and only pull out the Prado when needs be.

It has been lovingly cared for and upgraded, and is very fun. Red white interior leather, momo steering wheel etc.

But it is WAY too loud. A very fun sound but the drone is just uncomfortable after a while.

Somewhere between 85-90dB(A).

It has this performance exhaust system on it:

So... I am after ideas on how to reduce the volume by modifying this... ideally like to keep the end bit (sorry, whatever it's called!) but it is all one part...

Still the local exhaust bloke (only one in town!) said maybe cutting out and replacing hot dog might drop it enough??

Or recommended exhaust systems??

It needs to drop to comfortable levels but it would be nice to retain some sort of 'note'.

So, ideas would be very welcome.

Many thanks

John

This thread needs pics!

It sounds like you might need a resonator added into the midpipe?

New to this forum and not immediately apparent how to add a picture! Happy for advice on that too!
