And thanks for the lifter, kitkat. I found out how to pull these suckers apart and will see if I can resurrect them.

BTW, the A/C breakage seems to be just the fitting, so perhaps I can get away with a cheap fix?

I think the fitting is a \"crimp\" type, so perhaps the fitting can be replaced.
I'll find a pic.
