Qualities?....didn't see any "qualities", tweety-bird!

- oh wait on... don't you now hold the record for making your group do a U-turn 150 metres into the run? (...this was the first of the u-turns for the day I'm told, but more on those later).

It was another well-organised run.
Such a shame we got held-up all the way up, Beechmont was it?
nicely twistable roads that I've never been on.

I got to sit in a Gallardo and make Vroom-vroom noises! YAY!

One last word about Jules' \"leadership\", I blame AJ, really, for appointing him group leader. :)

For the record: A most excellent run - well organised, great food, great venue, great service, and excellent company. I think the run formula worked well for this time of year, and gives a lot of flexibility (mountain-dash, brekkie, another mountain-dash, and then a pub stop - wow!) ...something for everyone. Having the Lambo along was a real bonus.

...All we need to do next year is either:
(a) pick a straight line run with no turn-offs (if Jules gets to come along and wants to lead), say 400 laps of Bunnings car park; or,
(b) put the canary somewhere in the middle of the pack with ropes attached to the car in front and car behind; or,
(c) let Tabatha drive.

(BTW. There's no point in blaming AJ this time. Next time will suffice.)

ok, i've tapered off to the occasional giggle & the odd snort

as A Darby said, a fantastic run organised by Kim 'n Vicki, beautifully planned, with a great venue for brekky (having 48 ppl drop in for a meal in one hit has GOTTA cause heartburn), we were served great food in a timely manner, & along with the flawless run instructions that couldn't possibly be misconstrued in any way, you'd think that a Gold Coast run would go without a hitch..........................to be cont

it would seem so at the time andrew, but in hindsight, i'd have to say it is the masterstroke of the year for me, i'd expect i won't hear a "peep" out of the canary for some time to come

AJ...did you notice the odometer readings were really accurate? It made it so easy to follow the simple instructions, but only if you used the correct side of the instruction sheet, ....maybe having both sets of instructions was too difficult for Group 2 to comprehend? There must be some reason the Group 2 Leader took the wrong turn on the first instruction, then had to get the group to do a U-turn so early in the piece. Has this every happened before? Does any one else know if this has every happened?

the run sheet odo readings you mean??.............well, yes, you'd have to say so wouldn't you?.......as group one had no trouble......me??..........i can't say for sure, considering that just 150 metres into the run our odos were in error by 2.2 kilometres

yes.

to just use an excerpt from the run sheet....................

to put it perspective, group 2 is already on Reserve Rd, the next instruction read:
continue right, through roundabout, onto Reserve Rd

said roundabout only had 2 useable exits, one that veered right, continuing on Reserve Rd, the other useable one took you back the way you came into the roundabout....................Group 2 leader (who shall remain nameless for now  ) took the exit that ended 50 feet in at the base of a dirty great tree, ensuring that group 2 (except for the very observant tail end charlie) perform the 3rd U-turn in an hour, which the group 2 leader insisted was only HALF a U-turn & pleaded with the run organiser to take this one on his behalf to make him look better

his flimsy proof for this was that the instruction read : continue right through roundabout
thin group leader, VERY thin :P

how painful are we gunna make this darbs?

I didn't mind this diversion however...

It put me in the hot seat right behind the Lambo for a while. 8) I could listen to that thing all day long :D

A great run and great company again as always!
Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.
