I can attest to thecontracting of sphincter muscles on more than one occasion last night.

Great run tho.

We tried, I believe we got there too early though. Ended up bailing home after not being able to find anyone. Parking was a breeze though!

Glad to see you got home safely. Hope to see you on the next run and at the track.

Post up some photos after you have dipped your car.

Welcome to the light!

Once you do a track day you'll forget all about stance and be hooked; in an MX5, "driving is where it's at".

Ditto.
"hard parking" is not exactly something that gives you an adrenalin rush and makes your hands tremor afterwards.
Thanks for making the effort to come down, sorry we couldn't give you better directions past Samford as none of us in that group live out that way.

Oh, so does that means I don't have to go so slow next time? :P

You guys scare me! I know I'm still learning that road at night and improving my driving skills overall... but as a result I'm sure I held up the NA's following me on the first run, and to think that you guys were faster?

It's all about truly learning the MX-5's modus operandi Pete. 8)
In the five or so years I've been doing the runs, there's only been one incident, so none of us are truly really pushing it. None of us are that stupid.
IMO, you just have to memorize a handful of the more wicked corners.

Did anyone notice those massive tyre marks literally going straight ahead, just before a right hander, about 3/4 of the way to Jolly's?

Whomever went off on that type of corner, when there's a clear sight of where/how the corner turns, deserves what he/she got because they would have been going at warp speed to have missed the turn.

BTW, wait 'til we go down, and up, Glorious or Samford.
