[BRIS] Nebo to Mt Mee *Friday 6th April* - All welcome

Postby zoomzoom » Tue Mar 20, 2007 9:45 pm

[EDIT] Good Friday 6th April

Meet at Brisbane Forest Park, The Gap at the base of Mt Nebo.
Time: 7:30 to leave around 8:00

I think the route is pretty much Mt Nebo - Samford - Dayboro - Mt Mee but we may just wing it and follow the people who know the way better :D

Hi all, I just changed the possible date when I realised that was easter weekend.

So if anyone has any suggestions about possible routes or times etc etc

Please let me know if it clashes with something else or if there is a better weekend to go.

That could work, I dont think I am working that day. There will likely be alot of fuzz on the road though?

Yeah prob a lot of fuzz, but I would think the potential lack of traffic could make up for that, i.e wouldn't be getting baulked by sunday tourists so could do the speed limit and not be stuck well under it for half the journey....

If you knew the history of Club runs over the Easter period, you would not be running one 8)

Yea I didn't realise the easter holidays were so soon. We could possibly even go for the run the week after the easter holidays if that is better?Even as late as the 21st?

Suggestions? Preferences?

The next few Saturdays are probably out for me. Aside from that I don't mind... This doesn't have to be a major event though does it? Even if just a few of us are interested in an early morning drive up the mountain then why not? :)

yea it's just a chance for me to get out with a few of you since I have to work sundays when the club runs are on.

Ok how about we set the date to be Friday the 6th(good friday) and just go for an eazy run up to Mt Mee. The fuzz shouldn't bother us if we are not doing anything wrong, we can just cruise along and take in the views.

Anyone can come along, we can organise a meeting place and time as it draws closer.

How does that sound NMX516? Others?

Ok peoples, the date is set for Friday 6th April. Everyone is welcome, it will just be a very cruisy run considering it is a public holiday.

Can I get some suggestions of a time and meeting place please? I was thinking possibly around 8:00am for a 8:30 or 9:00 start? I have no idea how long the trip may take or where so I am looking for your guidence here.

Maybe meet at the base of Mt Cootha or the area beside the road at the base of Mt Nebo(the Gap)?

Could meet at the Brisbane Forest Park info centre, which is just on the left at the base of Mt Nebo, just before the fun starts and the 60k zone ends.

8/8.30 sounds good.... To Mt Mee would probably be an hour or so I think. There is a lookout just north of the Mt Mee township which we could stop at and either turn around or continue on :D
