End of Month February 22nd Nebo night run

Postby Steampunk » Sun Feb 03, 2013 3:56 pm

Hey all, pencil in a night run for Friday 22nd Feb.
Same meeting location & time as usual. PM me if you don't know.

Mr Starlet has suggested another good idea of BYO chairs and non-alcoholic drinks and have a relaxing chat session to add variety to our usual coffee'n'lies.

Hope to see many of you in a few weeks'

Depending on work and other commitments I may be able to offer my deck at ashgrove for the coffee and lies. Just off our route to waterworks road and plenty of quiet parking in the park across the road.

Won't know until closer to the day as I am working some big hours due to flood damage in the Lockyer Valley.

Sounds good Matt, thanks for the offer. Even if you're busy this time around we can tee it up whenever is good for you.

I was gonna go for a jaunt tonight but fuel is 154c!!!

Not out at Gatton, $1.44 a litre, went up this week, last week was $1.40. Cheaper out there than Brisbane generally most of the week, and with full service as well at the BP heading into town.

Looking at my diary, I should be good for the run and the deck at this stage.

Thanks Matt, Lockyer Way was good yesterday from Ipswich to Gatton, a few shallow bitumen problems around Laidley area but all good and perfect comiing back to Brisbane, was freaking i'd get a bloody stone chip on it's first run out of the showroom!!

You guys are doing a great job out there seeing there is so much damage - appreciated!!

Not in town Roger, fuel was up to 150 today as I drove out, the BP on the highway was at 144.9 for unleaded and 162.9 for 98, cheaper in Brisbane at the moment. Blacksoil BP was showing 144.9 for unleaded not sure on 98 as I filled up at the Gap last night.

900-1000km a week ensures I keep a close eye on prices.......

So, is this on????

Calendar is all squared away so I will be home in plenty of time and the deck is looking good.

I can supply coffee for after the run, but if you need milk, someone will probably have to buy it as we don't normally have any in the house, we drink black coffee, and none of that instant stuff, thouugh there is some there if you would prefer that over plunger coffee.

I will be having a few brews, as I won't have to drive anywhere afterwards and there will be room in the fridge if anyone wants to put some cold beverages in before the run.

There is plenty of parking in the park across the road in the park and/or my driveway, only rule is no dickheads coming or leaving, loud cars no problems, but a bit of consideration for the neighbours, I would like to keep on the good side of them as they have generally been pretty understanding with me and my cars, incluing the odd test for my old race car.

I would suggest, meet at usual spot and then swing past my place, as it is on the route up the hill, to drop off any drinks etc that you don't want shakken up on the run.

I will liase with Andrew over this bit.
