CBs please. 8)
Rog & I have one and I think Peter, not sure about the rest but if they are a little proactive they could probably borrow one from another member.

I've got both, so take your pick (just in case you are confused, Agro about the one I used yesterday).

I asked because I know that KK and Garry have UHF and Garry also has a CB, wasn't sure which one they would use. I only have A CB now.

I will take my big CB and probably the UHF if I remember it. rjastra has a UHF CB Agro. If you ask nice he might let you borrow it.

OK, today's the last day to let us know if you are coming.

If you have faxed your application in the last two days and have not heard anything, please ring Roger.

Can't make it now. Someone ran into me last night and remodelled the door and rear fender.

No one hurt. Pity you can't pick the type of other drivers you travel with. Have to figure out alternate way to spend Easter.

Thanks to everyone that came on the run, I think we all had a good weekend. I hope your trip home was as enjoyable as mine.

For those that werent able to make it, we ended up with 8 official cars on the run, 1 ring in and up to 3 \"hanger ons\" at times.

We covered a lot of fun roads and took in some great scenery. The organised Sunday run was abandoned in favour of a more casual day which was enjoyed by those involved.

The Oxley Highway \"virgins\" on the run certainly had an eye opening experience. 46km of constant bends is always an experience.

Even more than the driving and cars the runs are about people and it was a pleasure to meet a few more members and make some new friends.

Thanks to KK for organising everything. I had fun, I hope everyone else did too. A couple of quick laps up, down and up again on the Oxley do horrible things to tyres. I took a mm or two off my tread on the trip. I finally managed to get an extended drive in an NC, thanks KK. It's definitely an easier car to drive quickly on bumby B and C roads than the NB8B, it just needs a bit more poke for overtaking. Though KK seems to get it to go OK. 8)

Easter Run

Postby mxrx » Tue Apr 10, 2007 9:13 pm

As this was my first weekend away run with the club I can say that it was very enjoyable, both the roads and the people.

Steve's instructions were very good, giving you confidence that you knew where to pick-up the run if you got lost or delayed, or head to the final destination. The weather was good too. No rain at all!!!

The Oxley was so good I did it again today on my way to visit a friend in Manilla just outside Tamworth

A fantastic time away. Thanks to Stephen (KK) for all his work and time in setting out the runs. 8)
The scenery on the back roads from Singleton to Stroud was spectacular. Then the run up the old highway over Bulahdelah Mountain was fantastic, so much so that I did it on the way home.

The Oxley Highway has to be the best MX5 road in Australia. :D

I thought the Great Ocean Road was “great” but the Oxley leaves it for dead. You see a sign that says 38 kilometres of winding road and your off twisting and turning through, 25, 35, 45 kph corners finishing at Ginger Creek for a break and then you start again with kilometre after kilometre of winding road with no worry about the boys in blue.
