I’m sorry to inform the members that our scheduled run from Parramatta Park to Camp Quality has been postponed to a date to be fixed.

The Club web site will be updated shortly with details of the new run :D but as a heads up please see new run information below.

If you know of anyone who had planned coming on the original Camp Quality run would you please let them know of the change. I’d hate to have members turn up and find no-one there.

The La Perouse Run

WHEN: Sunday 12th Novemeber
WHERE: Loftus Oval just past the railway lines that cross the Princes Hwy and short of the entrance to the Royal National Park.
TIME: 10:00 am for a 10:30 Start
DETAILS: The route will take us along the old Princes Hwy, down Bulli Pass. Then north along the coast, across the new Sea Bridge, past Stanwell Park and up through National Park (the reverse way to our normally travel), then on to Botany Bay, General Holmes Drive, Foreshore Drive and finish at La Perouse.

A little different from what we normally do in that the finish is back in Sydney rather than out in the country somewhere.
The run also is not long as we have Concours two weeks later and I know everyone needs time to polish up their MX-5s for that event. 8)

Well I'm in luck then!

I am going to be in New Zealand on the 12th November and would have missed out on the Camp Quality run. Hopefully now, I will be able to attend on the date that it gets postponed to.

Bevan,

The idea is you turn up by yourself and take a sick kiddie for a drive, your not supposed to bring your own kid! :P  :P

The committee is really sorry the Camp Quality run is off, but I know they have been working very hard on it, but Camp Quality just don't seem to be able to organise themselves to collect a fat, juicy cheque.

Maybe they should employ me.
I'm really good at organising to collect money! :P

PaoPee,

The run is for MX-5 Club members and for those thinking about joining the Club but want to have a look first.
You are more than welcome to come along and have a look. :D

 If you bring your cheque book and join, then you can enter your MX-5 in the Concours de Elegance competition two weeks later at Telstra Stadium. 8)

We have to allow for members coming from all over Sydney and we need to end up some where for lunch.
We could go earlier and have brunch but on the weekend it doesn't matter what time you go through the park, there is always bikes, cars and as I found out, boys in blue.
No I didn't get booked but it was only because he couldn't turn around safely, he tried

The best time is at night. Less traffic but then you need to be careful of the wildlife.

 A quick note to those that are coming on this run.

There are two restaurants that you might like to eat at rather than having take-away fish and chips and sitting in the park with your BYO Chardy.

As I have no idea who is coming and/or what your taste/budget is, you may want to head to one of these two restaurants but will need to book as they are very popular on a Sunday.

They are:

Danny’s Seafood Restaurant Ph. 9311 4116
Approx cost - Entrées around $20 -25, Mains $30 - 40

and

The Boat Shed Restaurant Ph. 9661 9315
Approx. cost, a bit cheaper than Danny’s. Suggest you ask when booking.

I've only eaten at Danny's but years ago, so no recommendations sorry.

See you at the start of the run. :D
