MX5 BREAKFAST CLUB – WAKEFIELD PARK LONG CIRCUIT
Meet: Mobil Service Centre, Hume Highway South, Pheasants Nest
Time: Sunday 15 July 2012 at 6.30 am for a start at 7.00am sharp
Details: The Wakefield Park‘Long’ Circuit has just opened up as the superior motor sport circuit around Goulburn. In comparison with the long established Short Circuit:-
• The Long Circuit is on 220km of sealed roads with challenging surfaces and 100’s of corners
• On the Long Circuit the only time you have to worry about is our coffee times.
• There is no entry fee to the Long Circuit
• No helmet is required for the Long Circuit.
• The Long Circuit needs only one lap to cover 220kms compared to 100 laps of the Short Circuit.
• There are no scrutineers, marshalls or anyone telling you what to do at the Long Circuit.
• On the Long Circuit you don’t need semi slicks or race tyres to have a fun time.
The Long Circuit route avoids the treacherous:

We’ve dríven these roads so you don’t have to:

And we’ve found just the right roads for you:

We proceed directly to breakfast at Greengrocer Deli Cycle Shop in Goulburn at 8.00am, a café I am most interested in as an avid cyclist myself. After filling up with food and fuel we leave Goulburn and immediately are in the driving zone to MX-5 heaven on the Long Circuit starting with the highly technical Mountain Ash and Oallen Ford Roads. We then head across the Sandy Point/Cullalla Road to pause at the delightful locality of Tarago where the Loaded Dog Hotel will provide all the refreshment we need.
After the refreshment break we proceed on the Tarago/Currawang Road back to Braidwood Road to pay our respects to the old Short Circuit from Braidwood Road. We then travel cross country past the back of the airport to Windellama Road for a run down to Windellama and back to Bungonia on Oallen Falls Road travelling in the opposite direction. Finally we head up Jerrara Road to Marulan and on to Berrima for a final refreshment break in mid afternoon.
If you never never go you will never never know what you have missed out on by staying at home and not driving the Long Circuit on the 15 July 2012
