RPM Event 25 May 2013

10.00 AM at Blue Mountains Mazda, Medlow Bath

2013 is the Bicentenary of the crossing of the Blue Mountains. A flyover of the Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Oberon involving up to 300 different aircraft as part of the activities marking the Bicentenary of Blaxland, Lawson and Wentworth's Blue Mountains crossing.Participants will follow a similar path to that blazed by the three explorers in 1813.

While these explorers only had Shanks Pony, or at best a horse drawn MX5 with a bad paint job, you can enjoy the more modern convenience of transport of your MX5.

To celebrate this special occasion RPM Chapter will participate in a BBQ for the Chapter at the premises of our sponsor Blue Mountains Mazda. The location of Blue Mountains Mazda, adjacent to the Hydro Majestic at Medlow Bath will provide the perfect location to watch the historic flyover.

Blue Mountains Mazda have been very generous and proactive in their support of the RPM Chapter.

This is a great opportunity to show our support and thanks. I urge you all to show your support and put the date in your calendar and let's make it a great showing of MX5 unity.

This event is open to potential RPM members also.

There will probably be a run afterwards.

RSVP WILL BE REQUIRED BY 15TH MAY FOR CATERING PURPOSES.

All inquiries to Lesa Bunn rpm "at" mx5.com.au

Sorry for late posting but everyone has been flat out...Chris

Would be good to get a good turnout of RPM and other members for this. I am told our premises will be a good viewing area for the flyover

BBQ will be provided and there will be a 'lucky door prize' of 2x $100 parts and accessories vouchers with Blue Mountains Mazda and 4 free passes to Scenic World (thanks to David Hammon)

Hope to see you there

Cameron

I'm already booked in for this event with the RPM Chapter - are there any convoys being organised for travelling to the BBQ ?

Thanks for that, I'll be there. I'm worried there might be extra traffic on the highway for the event...I'm not sure how much press it's getting.

Well it is Saturday morning, I would expect the usual traffic crawl around the roadworks plus some. A trip from my place to Katoomba has been known to be 1:20 on a Friday night.
Other trips 0:50
But how do you pick it?

cheers
chris
