70% chance of rain Saturday and 80% chance of rain Sunday. I don't have wets and my car comes on boost too sudden to be drivable in the wet.Trailer is all packed and ready to go.. I will decide if i am going tonight..BUGGER

best way to improve your driving in the dry is by driving in the rain, even if you arent winning you are learning, regardless of tyres

Sounds like we are in for decent rain, but later in the day so we might get qual and a couple of dry races. Should have passed Sunday afternoon. So worth coming down, almost guarantee you will get some dry sessions. Just sit out if its too wet.

Its ignorant to think that you are at a point where you cant improve... if its raining on a friday night i always try to take the rotax out to the kart track. At the end of the day there are some professional drivers who go through their career being rubbish wet weather drivers.

Re: AASA State Champs Jun 1 & 2
Just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Craig for letting me have a run with him in the Modern Sports Car enduros all weekend. Had a load of fun, and finished both races (unfortunately i cost us with a drive through penalty on sunday for speeding in pit lane). It was great experience for both of us running in the torrential rain on Saturday arvo and we punched above our weight, beating a few cars that probably weren't expecting it. Great job Craig!

Chris it was an absolute blast! I certainly learnt a lot from you, and I think we have #98 pretty well set up now. Bring on the next one
We did both days 1 hours, bit of a learning curve in the do's and don'ts of 1 hour enduros with co-driver. Saturday's was wet and just got wetter! And today's miraculously under blue sky, albeit with grey/black clouds receding. Track today was mostly dry, although still water on the track in a couple of spots, notably turns 2 and 10.
We pitted twice (instead of the one mandatory pit stops), first time due to suspect brakes, second time for getting pinged with a penalty.
Huge thanks to Brian Zane Matthew and Chris for putting it on and the spirit and atmosphere today. And to Chris Gough for giving me the nudge at the last minute last week
!
And as for enduro - more like a 1 hour sprint!

Re: AASA State Champs Jun 1 & 2
The Sunday 1 hour was awesome up front. Watching Matilda, (ladies first) Daniel, David and Shane racing for outright spots in the first half hour was the best racing I"ve seen in years.
These 4 didnt give an inch and there was no room for a missed gear shift or error. Then throw some running water and mud on the track on 3 turns just to keep it interesting.
It was a hard act to follow up on and when I jumped into the car for the second half the pressure was on. Congratulations to Malida for the outright win in her Silver Turbo NB , I somehow held 2nd outright in the Hydra-Wash NC and MX5 Mania in the Gold NB ( Shane or David) was behind me keeping the pressure on the whole time.
Thanks guys for heaps of fun!
Michael
