Marulan Time Trial - 23rd September 2012
Posted: Thu Aug 16, 2012 7:24 pm
Posting this as a public service. Unfortunately I can't attend as I'll be away on holidays.
Marulan Time Trial is ideal for all Motor Sport enthusiasts of any driving experience level.
Experienced Drivers - can be competitive amongst other drivers of your skill level and gives you a great amount of track time and is a chance to brush up on your skills.
Intermediate Drivers – it is a perfect opportunity to get some more track time under your belt, become more familiar with your car and improve your driving skills and techniques.
Beginners and those new to the track – this is the ultimate chance to build and develop your skills, become more familiar with your car and to learn about the limits of their vehicle and their skills to become a better driver over all. The advanced driving instructors that will be present are there to help you enhance and improve your techniques.
All drivers will be timed during the morning practice/qualifying session and be given their results, from which they will dial in their own time and report it to the timekeepers.
This time will be used as a platform for each driver to consistently hit each lap. It is not about who gets the fastest lap time, consistency is the aim of the game! You have a four (4) second bracket for your time, two (2) seconds either side of your time to gain points.
The further away from the original time, the less points and if you fall out of the two (2) second bracket, either faster or slower, you score zero (0). If you spin or go off track, zero (0). Therefore, the most consistent driver who scores the least amount of points will win.
You are not only competing with fellow drivers, but you are mainly competing with yourself, aiming to enhance your driving skill and consistency.
A Timing Company will be present on the day to ensure accuracy and the results will also be posted on the Natsoft website.
Entry Fee $120 per driver
