Same here. I booked accommodation at the Bakehouse Motel.
No rush getting new tyres, Brian, yours are just fine!

My first time @ Wakefield. Need a bit of help, i've only been Marulan, so i know what i need minimum for track wise but nothing under regulations. Marulan only needed a helmet.
Helmet needs to be AS1698 & ideally SNELL 2012 (can use for another 9 years right?)
Clothing wise, are they strict on their guidelines?
CAMS license not required? So no fire extinguisher & CAMS stickers?
Help would be great

AS1698 Helmet in good condition is enough. You just need to wear long sleeves (it will be cold anyway), a pair of jeans and a pair of non synthetic shoes.
If you don't have a CAMS license, you can purchase AASA license for $50 at the track on the day.
No fire extinguisher and no stickers required.
Have fun! I know I will!

New Star Specs are on the car as of Friday morning.
Gus, you'll be pleased to hear that I couldn't get Z2 in 185/60R14, so I have another set of Z1 again

. But don't get your hopes up because Glenn Thomas will now be running in Class 4 too, and in recent times there has usually only been about half a second between us in standard cars. His new NB8B is modified with an intake and lowered springs, so I expect that Glenn will be topping Class 4 soon. Should be fun having yet another close competitor in Class 4.

I'm sure you can make up for the 0.2s theoretical difference between Z2 and Z1 and we will certainly have fun watching you try!
I moved to Class 4 to have competition, as I couldn't improve anymore in class 6 without modifying the car beyond what I was willing to go right now, so it is great to hear that Glenn is back and that we now have another competitive NB8B in class 4. It is also interesting that he is trying something different than the usual set of coilovers, as I always thought that we could make better use of the 'two modifications rule' than just replacing springs and shocks. Personally I'd like to try springs and LSD diff, but that would also mean Class 3 in the Supersprint.
Bring it on!

If i just get a AS1698 helmet, will i be able to use that @ CAMS events (ie. SMP South)?

Yes. AS1698 is fine for CAMS events like club trackdays at SMPS.
But you will still also need Fire Extinguisher and Battery Triangle as a minimum for CAM's events.
