MX-5 Club Track Day - Wakefield Park - 2 Feb 2014

Just realised that we don't have a thread for our club track day at Wakefield Park on 2nd February. So here it is!
Zan has just sent out all the documents for entrants. It looks like we have a full field of 70 drivers - all but 11 drivers will be in MX-5s. Let's hope the weather isn't overly hot on the day!
I'm looking to getting back on the track after a long summer hiatus.

Was so excited to be coming to the first one for the year but alas it's my sisters wedding the night before, so won't be able to make it. Hope everyone has fun!

Patrick, give David or Mike a call. I'm sure something informal will be happening for dinner on Saturday with the officials who're staying overnight.

Sorry I cant make it - Its Helen's significant birthday on the Saturday nite and seeing I'm organising it I wont be capable of leaving at 3:30 in the morning to drive to WPk.

Oh joy. The BOM is forecasting 36C on Sunday
. Better pack a LOT of drinking water!

Nice Bryan! You get the hot weather and all we get is a tropical low that could be a cyclone in 48 hours! Oh well, 3 weeks until our first for the year!!

Actually it says "Partly cloudy. A possible shower. Winds easterly and light." So it's going to be hot and dry, except for the cool easterly winds bringing rain.
I've fixed my wheel alignment - confidently expecting a 5 second improvement.

HOT day = fat chance of any lap records.
I considered dry ice in the CAI to lower intake temperature but that would take the oxygen away.
Hmmm,
maybe liquid oxygen.
Nah, that stuff burns too quickly.
I know, one of those hessian water bags hanging out front.

this is going to be my first track day, very keen to put the little beast through its paces. however not loving the thought of waking up at 4:30am
