Have my entry in for Round 1 at Wakefield Park.

Note the new requirement for Dayglo numbers on the passengers side windscreen - "b) .............. Competition numbers
in “Day-Glo” yellow are to be displayed on the windscreen on the opposite side to
the driver in compliance with Figure K3 of Schedule K. Open wheelers and
clubmans should display a number on the nose of the car similar to those
displayed on each side of the vehicle.

I did notice this.
Where is everyone getting these day Glo numbers from?

I got my set from MX-5 Mania (twice!)
They have the raw day-glo sheets and a cutter, and make them to order.

I assume this is so that the numbers can be seen from the timing tower. The huge concrete wall blocks out the door numbers. Would be surprised if the clubman and open wheeler numbers will be visible.

I plan to get a set of the day-glo windscreen numbers from Mania for my car, as they are close by my place, and I have got the numbers from them before.

If anyone needs these numbers for their windscreen, let me know by Tue next week (Tue 8/4) and I will also get them from Mania for you, and bring them to Wakefield on 13th. You can fix me up for the cost then.

From memory, price is no more than $5.

revolution racegear have the numbers for about $2.50 each , and in stock, if getting to mania is too hard

Last time I just hand brushed them on using kids fluoro craft paint. They passed.

Mania's cutter is not operating at present ... not until they can get power to it's new location.

Soooo.... Being this weekend what is everyone's prediction?

Wet or Dry.

AJ promises it will be working by Wednesday which is when I plan to order a bunch of numbers for club members.

FWIW, I find the std windscreen numbers can take up a lot of space on an MX-5 windscreen and become annoying, particularly if you need 3 digits, so I usually get them cut to order with a narrower profile.

Put me down for dry with a top temp in the mid 20's,
although, given I just invested in wet weather tyres, it might be good to give them a go :-)

Can I just Confirm if the $5 is per digit or per comp numbers?

Nothing too fancy, just Dunlop DZ03Gs in the softish M2 compound, with extra grooves. They will be kept exclusively for wet track use, so they keep an effective tread pattern.

The "not more than $5" was for the competition number, not the digit.

David, please count me in for a Day-Glo "68" - will pick up after NatMeet.

I note that these are required in the Supp Regs for Round 2 at SMP GP ... so it's not only a Wakefield Park thing.
