I'm entered too.
The 86/BRZ Club have been invited to enter so there's an extra incentive to come along and show them what a proper sports car can do!

Barge alert!

Maybe David could add the following instructions to Toyota drivers at the briefing: "If you see an MX5 approaching you then pull carefully off the racing line, point to the side that you wish the MX5 to overtake you and tug your forelock as it passes."

Happy to oblige, although that won't work for the baldies unfortunately. No forelocks :-)

I've entered - will bring the blue rocket if it is back together and survives the AASA Titles. Otherwise the black NB8B may make a debut...

Yep... Pulling the engine over summer for a rebuild so it will be a final fling for the existing engine

Or... A debut for the black car?

Glad you're entered, Chris. Now I'll have to think about what parts I might need from you.

I am entered and will be running my new Evo Gold NB8A in the clubman class.
I have fitted the Torsen 2 from Britney and refitted a standard exhaust from Helen's green NB8A. I have also transferred the Brown-Davis and Sparco V with 6 point harness from the NA
I will ask for a ruling on the day to see if the cosmetic body kit (side skirts, lip spoiler and boot ducktail) rate as an aero modification or if it is cosmetic, as it is not easily removable.
A couple of questions for Bryan or Gus ;
Brake pads - what are you using in the NB - Hawk HP+ or something else. If so do you run them on the street as well or swap for the track day.
Tyres - I have some 15X6.5" rims with 205x50x15 Kumho KU36 - these seem to fit within the rules, but can anyone confirm if that is the case. If not I will bring some semis and run modified this time until I get eligible tyres.
thanks

Good to know there will be more competition in the clubman class.
I had Hawk HP+ before, now I'm running Hawk Blue on the front. Always had standard pads on the rear. The Hawks produce an awful amount of brake dust, but other than that are still quite good on the road, although apart from the odd drive to the shops with the roof down, my MX5 is almost exclusively for the track.
Not sure about the KU36's. I think they may be deemed as semis, better check with Mike first.

Peter, KU36 are classed as road tyres in the Vic rules which are the basis for our class 4. You'll be fine with using them in class 4.
I've been using whatever brake pads were in my 10AE when I bought it. I think they were Bendix Ultimate on front and Green Stuff on rear. Pretty ordinary though and I was having lots of lock ups on the rears. I've just fitted a set of Hawk Blue all round on new rotors. They felt much better at Marulan last Sunday. Lots of sparks apparently and I got them hot enough to burn off the blue paint!

Spot confirmed! Already can't wait. Will probably head down the night before and camp in Goulburn instead of waking up with the sparrows on the day. plan on getting some Eccentric bushes up the front and getting a bit more camber dialed in.
