Entry was easy for me as I was already registered - registration doesn't seem all that hard if you have all your details handy.
I am a bit miffed over garage allocation and hiring through the system - I expect that may have to do with SMP South not having garages per se... Even so, and with early bird discount, entry was $195. NSWRRC strikes again.
I'll be missing Rd6 at WP owing to the MX5 Cup round next weekend - so I'll see you all at Rd7.

Just put my entry in too Chris. With this being the 2nd last supersprint of 2015, and since SMP South is such an MX-5 friendly circuit, I am looking forward to seeing lots of MX-5 Club drivers contributing to a big score so we can hopefully take an unbeatable championship lead into the last round.

Done it as well last night. Was a bit shocked at the price. They better not have more than 80 cars at that price. Fairly straight forward in the system once you enter all personal and car details in the system.
Now is the 2% credit card surcharge a Cams thing or a NSW RRC Club thing? I don't ever recall paying a surcharge to cams for license renewal. The credit card debit on my account says CAMS though.

CC processing is done by CAMS.

Was just emailed the grid sheet by Bob. Looks a bit all over the place from the normal ones regarding placing of cars. I note they didn't put the nominated times on it which seems odd. I have a feeling a fair few times were estimated from other tracks which does not work to well on the South Circuit. Plus 14 cars in some groups! I have a feeling my day tomorrow will be really short bursts which will suit my car in hot temps. Get 2 laps in, catch traffic, coast for a lap, go for another hard 1 etc. At least there is only 6 groups. At the entry fee they are charging, there should not be any more groups anyway.

I bailed out last week; least favourite track and least favoured organisers.
Redirected energies towards upcoming Winton 10-hour.

You're not the only one... very light on numbers.
Only six groups, so looks like for those of us who are there, lots of track time.
Will be a hot one though, 32C forecast.

I'm seeing a forecast max of 36 Chris! Yikes, that's extreme as we just finished winter.
With only 13 of us there from the MX-5 Club (out of 75 entrants), we will have to work hard to protect our championship lead!

If there ever was a track we can over achieve on it's the south circuit!

Good job guys. This is from Bob's report:
MX5 continues to surge away in the Club Championship, scoring 334 Club points on the day, which was some 74 points ahead of its nearest rival ARDC who scored 260 points. As a result MX5 have moved further ahead in the Club Championship where they have 3,752 points compared to ARDC, who are running second on 2,605 points. HSV/HDT didn’t score well on the day in the Club Championship scoring only 72 points but still run 3rd with 1,516 points.

Damn hot day - my fastest lap was set at 35C ambient and it was just getting hotter when we left at 2pm. My car usually never gets hot, but it was a hard task keeping it cool yesterday. 2 hot laps was the best we could get before the ECU safeties kicked in.
NSWRRC - well they did their best. That's about the best I can say. The first 3 runs for Group 3 were red flagged, and I would respectfully suggest that two of those red flags probably were unnecessary. I get safety first but wow.
As a result, I think I got about 10-12 laps in anger until the temps just got too hot (by about 2pm). I did manage a 1:01.50 but this was my first time at South Circuit and I'm confident with a few more clean laps, and in cooler conditions, there is a lot more in it. Still happy with the win though

Very quick lap Chris! Imagine how much quicker it'd be without the wheel shuffling.
