Here is the correct URL. I forgot the forum likes to chew them up if they're too long.

Really want to thank Josh Allen and the MG Car Club for organising this fabulous day.
Like most people this was my first hillclimb event, great fun, cleaning tyres with wheelspin, 'hooning' off the line then trying not to hit anything while negotiating the ridiculously narrow track !!!
No room for error here ...............
Best value for money ever, I had 8 runs before 2pm wow !!
Hope someone's got video to put up.
When's the next one

No problem at all.
Your reaction seems to be the norm, from what I heard both on the day, and also around facebook etc since the event.
With a little luck, we should have 3 or 4 days up here next year, with a standalone championship in a similar vein to the motorkhanas we had this year.
I also have plans for another type of event up here, but that's all very hush hush for the time being. We'll give that a trial run next year some time and see how it goes.
If we aren't careful we'll have an MX5 Club motorsport event every weekend, and then we'll have no time for wine and cheese!

Here are my photos from Ringwood Park Hillclimb. I was lucky enough to be invited into the viewing/marshalling stand at the top of the circuit.

For those interested in such things, here is a bit of datalogging from one run in a dead stock NB8B on road tyres - 48 seconds.
I was surprised to find that top speed (just over 80k's) was on the way down the hill towards the last marshall's hut rather than at the end of the "straight" across the top of the circuit.
