Four MX5s ran in the latest round of the ACT Hillclimb championship at Fairbairn Park in Canberra last Sunday, from a field of 60+.
John Eingisch was quickest MX5 with a 49.29 for 2nd in type 4 2001-3000cc in his NC track car.
Peter Browning (me) was next with a 50.31 in the gold NB8A trying a new set of Nitto NT01s, for 2nd in type 1/2 1601-2000, (a little off my pb of 49.71 on old A050s), and was just beaten by a well drĂven "Proton Satria !!".
Tom Ballard did a 50.93 in his NA6 for 1st in type1/2 0-1600.
Terry Bennet did a 53.25 for 5th in type 1/2 1601-2000 on some old Federals, his first ever competition run in a Mx5.
A good day with fine weather, but only a disappointing 4 runs were managed on the day.
