Bit of ND success in 2015

Well , the 2016 season is almost with us now , and I haven't been on this site for approx. 2 years , ...been busy with divorce crap , relocating and all that , so I thought It's about time I posted up the bit of success I had with the ND 1.5 Auto that I bought 6 months ago.
Done half a dozen Hillclimb events mainly at Collingrove plus one at Ararat , and gradually got the ND's times down at Collingrove from 44's down to 39.2 . Biggest problem is the boring launch where I lose a full second with the auto ,compared to screaming off wheelspinning in the old recordbreaking NA manual .
However , once mobile , the 6 speed auto ,drĂven as manual , is a ripper in sports mode with the traction control off .
And , without a lot of power ,I don't miss the manual's lsd much at all.

Finally it all boiled down to winning a gold medal in the Master's Games in class 2F under 1600cc , so Pete's a happy chappy again with a daily work driver that's a bit competitive on the track stock standard . Would love to find a decent chip or reflash for it though, .......any ideas , links anyone please ???

Are you not able to load the auto up against the brake? Genuine question - I know some manufacturers (VW, I'm looking at you with the DCT) severely rev limit the car if you have the brake and accelerator pressed at the same time, just wondering if Mazda do the same. Of course, you may well be doing that and still be at a disadvantage.

Thanks Vat ,
Yes I've been doing that , but the revs only mount to approx. 1500 ,...bit under 2000 sometimes
Cheers Pete
