Anyone up for a Barbagallo day?

OK folks, I reckon it's time to finally get up there. I've still got my membership free pass to use up at least, so it'd be good to go and get some good warmth into the tyres and see how I go up there.

I don't have the calendar handy, so don't know when the upcoming tuning days are, but I'm fairly flexible with dates. Let's pick one that suits most of us and head on up! Who's keen?

Keep in mind the circuit closes around the 10th December until some time in March for the upgrades that are being done.

Would love to get up there with a group of MX5's but alas I dont think my car is going to be running for some time :( ..........unless someone that has got the bits to build a V8 MX5 sitting in his shed decides to let them go and I get a crack on....you know who you are

Tuning days are a lot of fun. Pretty much open pitlane and a big mix of cars and talent, watch your mirrors and keep a good look ahead.

I'm ready to roll for mostly any day, given enough notification. It'd just be nice to have some MX-5 company to help with lines etc.

Anybody keen?

It is well worth it guys! You need an L2S licence and it is $60 as a WASCC member or if you need a day membership it is another $70.

Much cheaper than other trackdays you can attend and with as much time on track (the long track at that!) as you can handle...none of this 3-5 lap sessions crap. You also get the thrill of being on track with some real deal race cars and there are instructors on hand on Saturdays.

There is no scrutineering beyond sighting your licence when you sign on. There is no requirement to have an extinguisher etc etc.

So we have:
October - Tuesday 24th
October - Wednesday 25th
November - Tuesday 8th
November - Saturday 12th (9am - 12pm, so it's a short one)
November - Friday 25th
Decemner - Friday 9th

So it looks like there's a few options. The Saturday one is promising, but also annoying in that it's only a half day, and also that it'll probably be busy, being on a weekend. Any of the other options strike your fancy? They're all so far ahead that getting leave won't be an issue.

So is anybody else keen? Or shall I just pick a day I'm free and head up there solo?

Very late notice I know but the tuning day from this Friday has been moved to tomorrow. Open to all comers in the AM and the PM is for people racing this weekend only.

I decided I am going to dash up for a couple of hours in the morning and then go to work, last chance to use the circuit until April next year!

'fraid so mate, circuit closes on Sunday for building works through to April. New pit, paddock, garages, media rooms, hospitality and medical centre going in opposite the existing pits.

Call in sick, I suspect that someone else from here is ;)

Tempting :P
I might have to give them a bell and figure out whether I can still use that pass next year...

Absolutely terrible way to blow off going to work

There were 3 other MX5's there in various states of tune.
