MX-5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY - 18 MARCH 2013

Good news and Bad news.

Good news: :D

1. This track day will be a FULL DAY event at Lakeside Park. QR designated on track times are 0930-1230, lunch break for staff 1230-1300 and then 1300-1600. We might be able to get onto the track a shade before 0930 if everyone is well behaved (as usual) for newbie sighting/education runs.

2. Entry fees will be as per our half-day schedule. Yes, a full track day at Lakeside at HALF-DAY FEES. The club Committee has approved a generous subsidy in recognition of your support of club track days to keep the fees attractive. What a great deal for you.

3. Normal entry requirements apply with respect to documentation etc. which is all on the club website. http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/?page_id=51

4. Arrive at Lakeside by 0800 for check-in at the control tower then go to the briefing room with your CTP extension certificate and completed MX-5 Club indemnity form. Check-in with Mark and assistants and confirm your number. Please be considerate and be on time so there is no delay to proceedings.

5. Briefing will be at 0830 sharp. Do not be late. No brief – no run.

Bad News:

You have to wait another two months before the event. :P

Excellent JBT!!!

Numbers have been tremendous all last year and today has continued the trend! I think we can all take the 'good' with the 'bad'

Didn't PB today but boy did I have fun!! Especially that last run with groups 3/4 chasing Adam!! Even ended up with the fastest time of the group - I think they all had their air conditioners on!! [Nice one Murray!!]

Again, thanks John :D

To me, Lakeside is one of the BEST tracks in Australia, very technical, very scary but so enjoyable!!

Would you believe?

5 WEEKS TO GO!!!

Just 5 weeks, or 35 sleeps for those ripping tabs off the wall every morning until we have AN ALL DAY EVENT at Lakeside Park!!

It's the best value for the year, yes, a FULL day for the same cost as the normal half-day!!

Read back thru these posts for links to where more details are available or simply make a post here and feel free to ask ANY question relating

If you are running, flick the Competition Secretary Mark an email at compsecmx5@miata.net.au so he knows and can organise groups in advance

If you aren't running but would like to come along and watch or volunteer for the day, you are most welcome at NO charge!! There is also enough room for you to have your car under cover for the day as well

Don't forget your CTP extension [Queensland requirement] and if any interstate people are interested, let us know so we can get you organised with that

DON'T FORGET TO PAY 14 DAYS OR MORE BEFORE TO GET THE BEST DEAL!! That's by Monday 4 March 2013

SEE YOU THERE!!

I've got the day off organised, some new Enkeis on their way and somme R888 to fit to those, all that's left is dig out the rego to get my insurance details for the CTP and swap the wheels over on the Sunday and set the alarm to leave home early.

Looking forward to see much quicker the new tyres wheels and suspension is over the 70's I was doing with the old road tyres and 200k old suspension.

I'm itching to replace the tyres on my car, it's got yokohama a.drives on it now... They aren't terrible in the dry, bit poor but then you get that with budget passenger tyres. In the wet though, every roundabout is a hektik skid pan, even with an open diff. I'll be interested to hear your before and after times with the new goodies.
