Hey guys did a coolent flush and change yesterday to find the water pump now leaking.
Is there a write up on how to do change the pump? I understand the timing belt and what not has to come off.
I hate doing timing stuff , so any help to point me in the right direction would be awesome.
Cheers
ps I had 1 day of driving with rego before this happened lol

What we call the Big Board, miata.net, has lots of write-ups.
The water pump one is here: http://www.miata.net/garage/water_pump.html
Also you can go through the technical guides sections of this forum: http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=76. It's a good source for parts catalogues and workshop manuals, among other things.

Sigh, just checked the miata.net write-up. I think it goes too far. If you're not replacing the timing belt then you don't have to remove the crankshaft belt and timing belt pulleys.

Would also like to know if you can change the waterpump without taking off the timing belt.

Re: Waterpump install?
Nope. To remove the pump the belt must be interfered with. You could cable tie the belt to the top pulley, but to be honest, I'd be surprised if you can do it without eventually deciding to remove the belt to get the pump clear.
