A couple of vampire connectors should at least let you test it, but unless there are reliable ones these days they're not always a good long term automotive solution: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22vamp ... 72&dpr=1.5

I'm of the opinion there's no such thing as a reliable vampire clip. Should just be avoided unless temporary.
Easier way to test is to just shove a paper clip or something into the connector across the two pins. Just make sure it's taped up.

Re: Toyota Coil on Plug Guide
I have a 2 part 3D printed and laser cut connector which replaces the igniter on the NA6, and uses RS Component sourced terminals. Speed has a photo of it. I could probably post an STL and a DXF for interested parties.

Re: Toyota Coil on Plug Guide
that worked.
started nicely
i then went to try to connect the tach.I do know I still need to get the resistor
cut wire no 4. attached wire from cop.
car will not star again
reconnected wire...no luck
does the igniter need to be connected?
what if it is connected?

Re: Toyota Coil on Plug Guide
Igniter should not be connected with the Toyota coils. The Toyota coils have their own inbuilt igniters inside them.
