How To Test B577 Fuel Pump Relay

Can anyone advise me on how to test this relay?
From Rod's Enthusiast Shop Manual for Miata 1.8 Litre: 'Fuel pump relay checking. When batter voltage is applied to terminal A, and terminal B is grounded, there should be continuity between terminals C and E.'
Using your recent pic from another thread (which I've rotated 180 degrees & attached here), terminal B is top left, term A is bottom left, term C is bottom middle, & term E is bottom right.
