is there any 1.6 lsd diffs out that have finns on the casing? or is it just the 1.8 diff cases that are finned.

I think the majority of NA6 diffs were finned - only the early NA6's came out in smooth case.

if you're doing gearbox & diff oil this might be the wtg...
not saying this is the best oil, but i'm using redline. put redline superlight shockproof gear oil (yellow) into the gearbox last january & found that 2 bottles wasn't quite enough, so back for a 3rd, of which i used only a small amount. emailed redline the obvious question, \"is redline superlight shockproof gear oil (yellow) suitable for a na8 lsd?\", redline advised that it was, & saved me buying litre of their 75w90 gear oil.
btw, bursons on frankston-dande rd carrum sold it to me for $30 a litre bottle when i bought most of the stuff for a major service from them.

Hey guys ive just figured out that i do have an LSD in my car which is an aussie delivered 1990, which dont normally have one
It has an NA6 VLSD and it actually has a smooth case ...
From the workshop manual both open wheelers and the VLSD take the same oil, that being SAE 90 for our climate and should be replaced every 5 years or every 75000kms...
