Ticking Noise

Postby Blugg » Wed Sep 06, 2006 12:19 am

I've noticed that recently? Tick Tick Tick Tick mixed in with the engine at low revs and idle. It goes away when the car is warmed up.

Any ideas?

If it was NA6A or NA8A I'd say change the oil, as they use hydraulic lash adjusters but the NB's usually mean they need the lifters adjusted, unless you own Garry's car and you need a heap of new stuff replaced!  :P

Oh no..lifters adjusted? Sounds serious. It happened so suddenly and recently.

Maybe I should sell the car and buy an SE :P

Same potential problem. Not that it is a problem - just a routine adjustment.
