Im currently at the stage where some form of piggyback/ECU is required to yield better results out of my SE. I would appreciate some input on narrowing down my choice with an explanation as to why one would think one is more superior over another for the MX5.
Locally available and used on 5s.
Haltec Interceptor/E8
Autronic SM2/SM4
Unichip
Wolf V500
EXEDE
Cheers.

I've got the Haltech Interceptor on the race car with a electronic boost controller....they used my car to set the Interceptor up to run on a SE.
You will probably find that you have to go to bigger injectors as well....I have 550cc on mine.
As far as I know the Mania ECU is a piggy back semi in house design and is set up to run on the SVT engines.

The haltech interceptor I think is probably the perfect bang for buck for a road car.
I know haltech has tuned boyracer interceptor, is that where you got your E8 tuned as well?

Kind of.... My SE is a development car for the E8 so Haltech are doing the setup work. The car will be tuned by my tuner once it's fitted. So, because Haltech have done the development work with Lou and my SE's, you should be able to get a piggy back loom for the interceptor out of haltech without much trouble.
