T/bird 2 looks like you have done yr homework very well. I think the car looks A1 in this colour and given the banter on nbr plate mounts yours looks very aesthetic.
You remarked about warranties and modifications and I think this would need to be viewed with some caution. If you have a plain English warranty document perhaps it is clear. As an enthusiast it is somewhat unlikely that no mods will occur during warranty period.
Servicing your car and fussy- best to be clear what you want or don't- air in tyres what oil to use etc etc. Will watch yr comments with interest.

Interior Enhancements
One of the things that baffles me about the NC is this: 2 seats... 4 cup holders?! Sure, the cup holders in the doors can be converted to little bins/ash trays, but i find it's a better place to keep your drinks so you can get busy with the gearstick without bumping beverages. So, hoping for some centre console replacement to pop up. According to this thread, none so far.

The 2 on the console are the cup holders. The ones on the doors are water (or soft drink) bottle holders in Australia. Diameter is bigger.

But in some countries where smoking is still acceptable, they're ashtrays

orx they look like the 17' RX8 wheels. I remember the 18's fill the guards much more nicely.

They're 18" wheels straight off my RX-8....there's no such thing as a factory RX-8 17" wheel....the low spec jap RX-8's are fitted with 16" and look like this...

Ah, a fellow Toymodder (and self-confessed IS fan, i do believe).

Greetings! The car (haven't officially christened it yet) will be getting it's 1000kms service tomorrow, so right for a weekend run with the ACT crew after that, hopefully an invitation is forthcoming *hint hint* :D

Yes, i have a UK brochure (quite good actually, 40 something pages) and they call the centre console 'cup holders' and the door holders 'water bottle holders'. Apparently MX5 drivers like their water from a bottle.
They list both a drop in ash-tray and a drop in 'bin/coin holder' as accessories, basically the same thing.

I really miss not having a pocket in the centre of the dash under the stereo (like most other cars i've dríven *grumble*)

This was one of my dislikes. I looked at modifying centre console to make the space more useable. In the end just put up with it the way it is.

Mum always said "patience is a virtue" :D

Rob, has it really been that long? Talk about make a guy feel old.... sheesh!

Acccessorise: Voodoo / MX5 Mania
Made my first visit to Mania on the weekend. David was pretty busy, but had a good chat to AJ. What a great place. I wanted to take heaps of photos but didn't want to just show up and start going all Japanese tourist / paprazzi styles on them :D

Anyhoo, got my car bra (more on that later). Also asked AJ - so, what's all the fuss with these Voodoo gearknobs, anyway? Try this, was the response. Suffice to say i'm now a member of the Voodoo Club: it's awesome!! Slightly shorter throw, but major improvement is in feel in the palm, and better shift accuracy. Looks nice, too.
