Oh and Alex Hailstone, if you don't want to go at the front (especially considering what happened on old pac), you're more than welcome to ride with me

Alex wrote:Stan it seems that you know the road better than anyone else going so you would be able to set a safe pace. In comparison think about what could happen if one of the younger or less experienced drivers (like myself) ends up leading, to me that sounds like a recepie for disaster.
Alex wrote:Even more so since it's over what seems to be a forumites having a playful ego contest online which I doubt would have any impact on the drive at all (unless you guys really are planning Initial D style races).

I'm confused, please quote an example of this. Perhaps you've been taking things the wrong way.
will you be on the semi slicks? I must come prepared!
i have a friend with an old school supra with a 2jz 650hp thats wants to tag along, i wouldn't mind us all teaching him a lesson.

so let's stop the bickering!
we're all here just for a good sunday drive (and at some stages, hopefully spirited)
this thread was designed for us to enjoy each other's company, cars, trade a few lies and meet new people. the very last thing you would want is to meet the person (who's attacking you or you're attacking on the forum) face to face and have this awkwardness..... right?
and the comment about semi slicks, do you really think any of us are stupid enough to try to take on a car with semi's with road tyres?
Also regarding the emotional blackmail going on here RE STM, grow up fellas, he has made a decision and if you all can't hack that, don't go!
If he does not want to lead the pack or even attened, that is his business. Not yours!
Erm, we know its not our business, doesn't mean we can't try to persuade him to come and have fun and that we're not irresponsible. yes his experience could benefit us but you're making out like we're all gonna go nuts and smash everywhere if he doesn't, we know how to drive a god damn car.
And way to go, after being informed that anyone could be reading you go and post this.
(we all know that the speed limit will be broken on the day)
As if you'll get 400km out of a tank on a spirited drive lol
you guys really are hyping this road up, it better be as dangerous/good as you all say.Tight, fast, winding, undulating, dangerous road with cops and lots of accidents...
I better bring my 20L track day fuel tank.....not that my car's going to be ready.
Keep this sort of comment to yourself, we're not planning on doing anything illegal.
