If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Hi Dave, there have been some delays with components I've been waiting on for the project, which is in turn delaying my travel plans. At this stage I can't see me travelling to Perth until the first week of December now (will still be there for 2 weeks). I hopefully will know more at the end of next week. Will let you know.

Thanks,
Danny

Hi Okibi & mx52nv, flights have been booked and I will be there on Sunday the 7th December...arriving at 5:35pm...doh!!! :frown: So I'm gonna miss the club cruise. However, I have allowed 2 weeks to complete the project, so will not be leaving Perth until Friday 19th December at 6:35pm. Might there be another opportunity during the weekend in the middle of the stay?

I'm coming over to modify with this jigger for BHP Billiton.

Ahhhh I figured the next step from an Renesis NC would be to build one of these

I'm sure we can tee something up while you're over.

Yeah, needs to be lower, and it needs more dish :D

What's the 'up close' lift on that thing? And is it just the angle of the shot or does every axle steer?

It's a Grove GMK-7450....which means that it is a 7-axle, 450 Tonne All-terrain crane. Only the 2nd one in Australia. Melrose cranes in Sydney have the first one.

Yes, every axle steers so that the crane can crab sideways if required.

Danny
