I'll give you hand Ryan. No problems. We just can't use the pit and mom and dads place. So its axle stands, forklift or the wun ramps.
Axle stands should not be too bad. And how is your dad about us doing it in your driveway??

It should be a go for Wun's house, my parents have no problem with me doing it at home, but I would feel more safe doing the work on Wun's ramps compared to a set of jackstands.

Let me know when and where you're doing it, if I can make it I will. Happy to lend a hand & learn, I'm nursing a pretty average clutch at the moment so will be good to see how to change one.

It's cool man you are welcome to use the giant ramps anytime. (I hope you clutch isnt slipping too badly so you can drive up the ramps)

The spigot and the thowout came with my clutch and flywheel. It might come with yours???? saves you buying them????

Rear main seal, rear gear box seal and a new gasket for the down pipe, are things I would consider replaceing.

Consumables would be red thread lock, break cleaner, WD40 and new gear box oil.

Let me know when you get the clutch and flywheel just make sure you have ALL the parts you need.

And most importantly!!!! If you value your paint don't let Wun near the brake fluid

I spoke to Xtreme clutches in SA today, the kit only comes with the clutch plate, pressure plate, and thrust bearing. Soo I have to get a spigot bearing, a clutch alignment tool (if you still have yours wun we can use that) and a few seals and gaskets etc.

Im a little worried about my headers, as the pipe goes quite far back along the side of the gearbox, and finishes alot further down the gearbox compared to stock. If it gets in the way ill have to pull them out. :?

I have all the other stuff listed though, im actually writing up a big list of tools, and stuff I need to bring.

I just picked up the Xtreme heavy duty clutch kit, it looks like a pretty good piece of kit. I got it from Race Brakes in Yarraville, they were by far the cheapest out of all the places I rang. I was quoted everything from $270 to $350 for this kit, and Race Brakes did it for $245. Nice blokes too.

This is it on the floor.

The only down side of the kit I could see was it having no clutch alignment tool, but I can get one of those cheap. I also bought a spigot bearing while I was out.

wow 85% of jap trucks have exedy clutches, so it's only logical to conclude that they must be perfectly suited to my lightweight sportscar then !

I know you truly believe your dogmatic "OEM IS BEST OEM IS BEST OEM IS BEST" mantra , but please just for once realise that some people prefer to use aftermarket parts as it is better suited to their application. I have used the Xtreme clutch in my mx5, it is great. I currently have a standard OEM spec Exedy in the car and it is also great. They are both good products, just different for different applications.
