We suggest a Wheel alignment as your first point of call, then drop Okibi, forum owner and fellow Sandgroper a PM and see where the Sandgropers meet up. I think they do something fairly often in Perth.
The guys can talk you through the specs for above.

Early NB8B models were infamous for "clutch judder" - could that be what you are experiencing? see here for some more details
I was pretty happy with the APEXi CAI on my NB (10AE)
I got mine from Greenline - it was reasonably priced, and the AUD to YEN exchange rate is improving.

my understanding is that the nb8b (late 2000 on) used the same engine block, the extra power was from a revised head and variable valve timing or something.
