They are convex, so you actually see more, and you can also see your blindspot, so no more head turning.

yeah much better vision with the cs mirrors - zero blind spots.

booked the car in to get a resonator added tomorrow morning. should hopefully make it much quieter and less twangy. might even be able to go to LS at this rate!!!

ok well got the bad news from the exhaust shop. the cat is hollow and so is the muffler. I have to replace the lot. to do it with a 100 cell race cat and new 2.5 piping, resonator and muffler its going to be 1130 all up. have to bite the bullet I spose!

Make sure they give you a Lakeside Spec one. The race guys are getting the noise down without losing ANY power. Some even gained some torque.

got the car back this morning and it sounds a million times quieter. small children and fluffy ducks no longer shrivel and turn to dust when i hit the loud pedal. its got much more torque down low too. not sure if its the bigger piping or what but you can feel it. not sure if its as fast. hard to tell as the noise sort of added to the thrill. this will definitely pass LS sound tests.

ok i have been thinking. I have some cams, gears and springs to go in with a smaller blower pulley. To get a new 5th injector, pump, get the car tuned and the stuff installed will set me back about 2400. should i sell my cf hood and boot which i could get atleast 2k for or keep them and save? with that stuff done i would probably see another 20wkw i would think. maybe more if i raise the ruel cut from 7200 to 7500.

also i turns out i have a smaller blower then i thought i did so the smaller pulley and other fuel stuff yielded nothing (out of efficiency range me thinks). i have measured and i have the c30-74 not the 84 like i thought i had. there is only a documented 20hp (300 [28kg/s] to 320 [30kg/s]) flow difference between the two so no big deal but none the less its a little frustrating when you have been told one thing and it turns out its the other.
So since putting bigger wheels (wider and heavier), 2.5 inch exhaust (that is in tact not straight through) its lost about 10-15rwkw and is now hovering around 150rwkw with 9psi and a slightly richer WOT mixture of 11.6:1 instead of 12.5:1. safer tune really as far as i know? I can't tell the difference on but dyno over all but it feels stronger down low but a little less up top. so i think with the larger exhaust (from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2) i may have gained torque but lost power?
I think the move for bigger hp is going to need a blower upgrade to the c30-94 (400hp [37kg/s] flow rate) unit which has a documented (from rotrex website) flow hp of 400hp max. I think I would be lucky to see 350-370 (engine not wheel) with a built 10:1 comp motor like I plan to build depending on what the builder (yet to be determined) recommends. Its either that or build a 8ish:1 comp motor and upgrade to the BIG c38:81 blower that can flow 630hp of air (55kg/s - two of on koeniggggggsegsegseg thingy). Again it would not make that - maybe 500hp (engine) which would be INSANE in a car this light - might even keep up with danny's beast when its done. thats well over the magic 400hp/tonne the hyper cars seem to be doing at a minimum so much more then my talent can handle/car/drive train etc......
I am considering painting the bonnet, window surround, bit before the boot lid and boot lid black. I painted the bootlid from flat black to the stock colour with a custom mixed spray can/s in the factory colour which was an epic fail. The can just powdered before it hit the boot lid and has turned out sh*t. I can afford to paint the boot lid the stock colour professionally as to make it look any good it will require a 'blend in' job being metallic as I am told.
I am in the in-between point in my career atm so probs can't afford to do much of the above for a while. I will just concentrating on getting the clutch installed when it arrives and maybe getting my bushes done too. The good thing is i don't hate it atm so i am not tempted to call it quits and sell it.
I am still waiting on my clutch/flywheel combo to arrive so no movement there (sorry Danny!). Nothing else to report really except just driving the car and enjoying it when I can.
The saga continues..... stay tuned.
