stock shock replacemnt for NC with Eibach springs

I have Eibach pro-kit springs installed on my NC. I'm not 100% sure at this stage, but I think I may need to replace my stock shocks. Can anyone recommend a good replacement to go with Eibach springs on the NC?

You could pick-up some some Koni or Mazdaspeed shocks from eBay US.

On rougher roads, I'm getting a chattering from the rear passenger side. For last two weeks or so, I've assumed it was something loose in relation to the PRHT or similar. It only just dawned on me that maybe it's the rear passenger shock absorber. I looked a minute a go and cant see any leakage of fluid. It's just a hunch and I could be way off. Car has just done 30,000ks and half of that with the Eibach's. But actually now I think about it, I dno't think I'm hearing it when the roof is down. Any easy way to rule out if the shocks are not the problem??

If you're still under warranty I'd be taking a little trip down to Mazda. They may try the "it's not our fault the shockie is gone, it's the aftermarket springs" trick but as the springs are the same as Mazdaspeed and they warrant that in the US you could argue against them.

Not running these, just going on all the reports out of the US.

I've a set of second hand Eibach coilovers that haven't been fitted because of moving house a week or so ago and I'm still trying to make up my mind about either fitting them or I'll head off to Josh at Wholesale suspension and get a new set from them.

The reason I'm heading towards coilovers is because I can adjust the car to the height I want and then harden the shocks to keep it off the rear bump stops when fully laden. My current Kings are about 5 - 10 mm to low. Great for the track but a bummer in the real world with a passenger and a boot full of gear, with the car sitting about 65mm off the ground fully laden.

As you already have springs at the right height, the Tokico adjustables would be the best bet. The Koni's drop the car another 10mm, which will be too low if the Eibach springs are down 35mm already.

Big benefit with the Tokico is the remote adjuster cable that you can fit to the rears so you don''t need to start cutting holes in panels to get at the top of the shock.

Another possibility I just thought of. The noise is a sort of chattering type noise on quite rough roads that continues until road smooths out, could it be the bushings on the rear swaybar that need lubing? They are Whiteline. I am not sure if this is a known issue or a remote possibility?

nope, if the ends are lose in a significant way...is it obvious?

There should be no looseness when you grab hold of each one and try to move it about. Easy to reach the rear end links from behind the wheels.

Indeed..I had this problem when I had my new bars installed...Quick tighten with a ring spanner and all was well again....thick paint.

Just a clatter.
I could make it happen by driving over a speedhump at an angle so the bar came into play.
As the OP said, I then crawled under the car with weight on the wheels and could feel a slight movement.
Remember, we're only talking about the clearance of a bolt in a hole so it isn't much to feel.
