BC Coilovers, whats the verdict?

top hats are different in na/nb oem shocks.

Though aftermarket... it's all the same.

I've had BC's in my NB for several months now, seen the track 4 times, very happy with the performance. They are perfect for track and street.

You car looks like it "may" be too low.....and "may" have bump steer. Make sure your front arms are parallel to the ground through the mounting bolts on the chassis and lower ball joint. If you've wound the shocks up to their max lowered height......it's a very common issue.

Well I installed the BC's today, VERY impressed.

Still have to tweak the hardness to suit daily driving, standed is a little bit too hard, I'm loving it now but will probably hate it after a long day at work!

I installed BC coilovers in my 1995 model Na8 today. WoW what a difference!!! The standard suspension was very ordinary and didnt soak up the bumps to well at all, the BC are a revalation, super low but beautiful to drive. I too have them on the softest settings but will experiment once I get my alignments set. :wink:

I must admit I was aprehensive about their effectiveness due to the lower price but as it turned out I am rapt!!! Now to get some wheels with dish

After a spirited hills run I am absolutely blown away! The cornering ability is out of this world, I liken it to being on a roller coaster!

If you are loaded (and like wank factor) then buy the tein's ......if you are on a lower budget then def get the BC's over anything else.Bang for buck, you can't go wrong.

Got these installed last week, but I'm having trouble adjusting them.

I find the collars/perches unturnable, or just very very hard to turn. Has anyone else had this problem with them ?

cannot say i've ever had an issue. and i'm on my 3rd set of coilovers.

put spanner on ring, hit spanner with hammer, turn by hand once loose.

Thank you so much for this! My finances just fell through for a set of Tein SS Coilovers for roughly the same price as these second hand. I was devestated that I wouldn't be able to pick them since the seller wants them gone asap.

So thanks for everyones input and the op for this thread, I'm glad to hear the bc's are good! Now I must buy them!!!

I am interested in the BC Coilovers, but which to get the V1 Design VS or the BR Type BS? I don't go on track only a little spirited driving through the adelaide hills every now and then. Also does anyone have the product numbers for these coilovers?

N-04-VS $1199
N-04-RS $1299 - bigger 53mm (only difference)(more oil)

for you, only the VS i think would be required. for $100 more, you can get the bigger shock from the RS that holds more oil, hence does not crap itself as early (if at all) when the oil inside heat up. but as you don't track it, it's probably not worth the extra $$$.

Will be getting some VS ones then in a few weeks, can't wait to see how much better this already amazing handling car can get around the corners. Plus looking at everyone's photos on here, it will look much better a few cms lower!

Okay, change of thought, Aus Dollar is strong so i thought i would look at the US ebay. I get a set of Tein Super Street to Australia for a little over $1300. Ignoring the price are the Tein SS Coilovers better than BC ones? Are the Tein too hard for everyday use?

Who's running them, and what do you think of them?

I’ve got a set of the gold and black ones in my NA6. You can change so many things with them it’s amazing for what you pay. I thought they were a bit bouncy to start off with but i put 50mm of pressure on the springs a (which you can still correct with the height adjustment down the bottom for stance evenness etc). I’m running my dampeners on about 22 depending on what I’m doing and very impressed with them for the year and a half I’ve had them. They are still going strong

. My car has 15s with 50 profile rubber and the car sits 100mm off the ground. I differently recommend them
