New photos! (even though it was raining while I took them and my car wasn't at all clean)

Yeah, still running the 45 tyres. There is still plenty of meat on these so I don't really want to change the tyres just for looks. I'm contemplating buying a set of cheap wheels to throw these tyres on to for the track, but having said that I'm still contemplating buying another car. We'll see how it goes.

My radiator went pop today :(

Having being told that my radiator was not long for this world since I bought the car almost two years ago, she finally let go today. Nothing major, just a small crack in the top tank. Temperature was fine the whole way home, only noticed it because once I stopped the car at home, I could hear a feint hissing noise. Open the bonnet and sure enough, it’s boiled the overflow reservoir and there’s a small crack in the top tank.

Do I just buy a replacement second hand OEM one or is it worth going after market? If yes for aftermarket, what and where from?

I gotta admit, I don't mind these rectangle headlights. Reminds me of the FC/FD RX-7. Turns the look of the NA with headlights up from cute to sporty IMO.

Cheers Hammer. I do like the headlights although I still haven't got them to fit quite right yet. They change the look of the car with the lights up soooo much.

New radiator has arrived and is now in the car. Unfortunately my intake cross pipe now doesn't fit :(

Bummer, how thick is the radiator? Must have been pretty tight for your intake pipe to begin with.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Yeah, I really should have seen this coming. My cross pipe was physically touching the fan shroud with the stock radiator so the thicker radiator should have been a no brainer really. Conveniently Russ said he'd be in the shop tomorrow so once I'm sober enough to drive I'll drop past Carco. I only live about 1km away so jamming a pod on the end of the manifold should see me there.

Okibi, it's 42mm ASI.

Thanks to Russ I now have me a new intake cross pipe. It's only 2.5" instead of the older 3" one but it does now fit. I'm sure you guys can already guess that I'm a fan of the Carco guys but I really want to point out again just how awesome they are. Inviting me in on a public holiday to fix my car is just legendary. I'm sure Russ will read this anyway, so thanks again mate.

I went for a quick drive immediately after and wow it feels good to be back in my car after only a little over a week. Stealing my girlfriends car isn't that bad and having to ask people for lifts just plain sucks, but driving my car just feels right. I'm heading out to play with my headlights a little more then I'm going for a drive out to Tidbinbilla with a few mates.
