Sackboy never looked so good!

Might want to use some 303 on your dash too  Other than that, it looks great!

Have you ever thought about changing to a voodoo or skunk2 knob?

Whoa, I didn't notice the amount of crap on the dash until you pointed it out there Cheyne. Yes, it needs something.

Never thought about a gear knob, never seen the need.

It's a McDonald's neopet toy called JubJub.

The day I got my first car we ended up at a Maccas somewhere way over the other side of town, my girlfriend bought a happy meal and got JubJub as the toy. It ended up wedged in the dash of my car and stayed there even after I sold it. In a weird chain of events, I ended up buying that car back off the mate I sold it to about 12 months later and JubJub was still there. He has been in every car I've owned ever since.

I'm loving the RE001's. Maybe it's because I haven't had a decent set on the car since I've owned it, but I can't pick fault with them. Brilliant in both the wet and dry.

House mate got it for me for Christmas. I've been told that Game brought a stack of them in to the country, but that they sold out stupidly fast.

That one is 2 1/2" but I've also got another 6" one too.

Joined the ACT chapter at Wheels today. Not as many people as last year but a reasonable turn out all the same.

Great photos, beautiful car and lush green grass.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Damn, was going to come down again this year but went for a drive down the coast instead. Kind of wish I had made the trip now!

Car looks great with the new wheels, but you'd expect I would say that. Nice work!

I think the RPF1's need a Brown Davis or similar to set them off. But don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the style bars too. They work well on a black car.

In fact, some Zoom mirrors would probably complement it all quite nicely :D

Being that the gearknob is an item you use to 'interface' with the car, you would be surprised what good gearknob choice can do for the driving experience (ie) taller/shorter more/less weight all alter the feel of the shift.

Recommend you try some different styles out, even in other peeps cars.

Edit: Actually, don't listen to me, or the calls for more low - just get out there and drive the thing. You've got RPF1's now, you gotta rep the right way!

Interesting argument CoffeeBoss. The only other mx5 I've spent a decent amount of time in is Daffy's Clubman and the shift in that was much nicer than mine, but I put that down to the NB gearbox more than the knob. Maybe I'll just have to drive a few others.

I've been doing much less daily-ing and more fun driving recently which is nice. Also, got a 60th to go to in Tallangatta on the ANZAC day weekend so I'm planning a trip through Corryong/Jindabyne way.

Last point for the day, Adam/mxhevn/RG.net did a feature on my car on his blog. You guys would have already seen all of the photos but here goes anyway. Linky

Got a chance to play with the car today and managed to fix a few little problems that had popped up.

First was that the passenger central locking had stopped working. It was a bitch to get at with all the sound deadening in place but I didn't destroy too much of it in the process. Turns out that it was only a wire that had come loose, plugged it back in and all was well. Still had some leftover sound deadening from doing this originally so I just patched up the holes I'd made when I was finished.

Next was that the passenger side tweeter wasn't working at all and the main woofer was intermittent. Assumed that since they were both playing up that it would be another wiring issue. Turned out I was wrong and the crossover was playing up, but wow did that take some time to figure out. The multimeter kept telling me that the two ends of the wire that ran from the crossover to the speaker were fine, connecting another speaker to the crossover told me that it and everything before it was fine, and connecting the car speakers to another source told me that they worked too. Yet when I put them all together, I got the same problems as before. WFT? How can everything both work and not work at the same time? As I said, I eventually figured out that the crossover was the problem as it only worked when the connections were held on just the right angle. When I had it sitting in the footwell I must have just consistently fluked it :( Anyways, a little bit of re-soldering and some tape and she was a happy camper again. Put it all back together and I was done.

On a non-car related note, I managed to got get myself a fairly decent raise at work last week. Should result in more toys :)
