Hang on wouldn't the intake sucking in gas from the crank case put the AFR's out or change the load by allowing air in?

it would not make a difference if your car has been tuned for it (which all would be as soon as they hit the dyno with an after market computer) std ecu's compensate for this using the o2 sensor ;)

Gave her a good workout yesterday at Wakefield. The car felt great. A few laps in (long sessions) the drivetrain started to make clunking noises. Could this be related to overheating gearbox oil or low oil? Is it easy to check the level of gearbox oil? Haven't really looked for a dip stick. You can hear the noise in the video below. Starts around the 3:30 mark.

Sounds easy enough. Cheers :)

Not sure what that Skyline was doing. He ought to have been a lot faster. For all I know he was just warming up his car at that time. Even the track steward said 'that Skyline's fast' when I was chatting to him earlier in the day. Saw him leave with the car on a trailer too.

I think the S2000 and Evo held back to play with their mate in another S2000 who was up my ass.

Anyway, I've realised it's a heck of a lot different on the track than out on back roads. Car gets hammered and there's lots to learn... :o

Did an oil change today. With the remote oil filter it was simply the easiest oil change I have ever done.

Now, since I'm changing Pete's old plates, red or white plates?

Both are good I think. Although leaning towards red.

Thanks all. I never really considered the red on white.

Poor PS version.

I was more leaning towards the white on red. I'll have to think about it some more. Still a few months before I have to decide. :)

How about white on red, but a red licence plates frame to hide that ugly white border.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Now you're talking. That's an idea worth investigating. I was even thinking about those stick on plates for the front. Not totally legal though. :/

My vote would be for white on red.

Can you get away with stick-on plates where you are? So much less hassle on the front than getting all that damage from people rubbing against the metal of the plate and the mounting bracket. And you could maybe get your printer/signwriter to leave off the white border and do an exact match to your paint colour? Or just do you the numerals ready-spaced and ready to stick directly to your paint?

Have you already done the rear panel mod?

No. What's that?

I suspect the stick on plates are not legal in NSW. Will check though.

It tidies up all those lumpy bits around the number plate. My car also has the cabin boot cable release disabled so the only way to open the boot is with the remote. The idea is to put off the casual thief especially when the roof is down. It's good to make sure your car battery and remote battery are both well charged though! Mind you, there's another way in if you get one or more flat batteries. Fairly obvious to you and me but not to the sneak thief. I hope.

Well, trying the different styles was a waste of time. As it turns out, my brother bought GM 04 SE in white on red for my birthday yesterday. :)
