Luckily we had access to a friends hoist, so this made the job so much easier. We started about 9am Saturday morning and had the job all done by 4pm. Unfortunately, once I jumped into the car to take it for a test run, we discovered that there was not enough travel in the clutch pedal to fully disengage the clutch. We spent another hour trying to find the issue but called it a day at 5pm and decided to come back on Sunday.
Sunday morning I drove into another friends workshop and picked up a new slave cylinder, master cylinder and braided clutch line just in case any of these were the cause of the issue. After completely removing the gearbox again and measuring up my flywheel and clutch against a spare my mate had, we discovered that the second hand flywheel I had was slightly different and when the pressure plate was bolted down it pulled the fingers in too far. We decided to use my mates spare until we could sort something else out and bolted it all up again.
Whilst everything was out we decided to remove the factory clutch line and brackets, and install the braided clutch line anyway.
Took the car for a test run and everything seemed to be working fine. Just need to get use to the different take up position of the clucth pedal and the on/off nature of the new clutch but it's got plenty of grip

Weighed the old gear when I got home and it was a total of 13.7kg so the new setup is 3.7 kg lighter.
Sorry for the dodgy phone photos:)
